Saturday nights are best spent with a friend. Hondo is looking for one to spend all his Saturdays with.

He’s the big guy. Roxy, his foster sister, is keeping him company until someone swipes right.

Know someone who could use a little Hondo in their life? Contact Farm's Pet Services to meet him.

Terri Jacobson Photography captures the perfect shot within all the cahos and it's so fun watching her work her magic. She still has spots available!

“Just checking. The recipe DOES say ‘a little dog hair,’ right?”

Hondo and Roxy stopped by Transylvania to help brew up a little magic. This big puppy has such a gentle soul—and we’re hoping his next adventure comes with a family of his own.

Roxy has her people. Hondo is still looking for his.

Interested in meeting him? Contact his foster mom, Cassie, at Farms Pet Services. And please share—let’s help this boy conjure up a home.

What's better than video/photo updates?!?!

Getting to love one of my previous rescues!! Especially one as special as Maya. This sweet girl has been through unimaginable things but is finally in her forever, loving home.

Rescue pets are often more "work" because we have to learn what they need to gain confidence and trust but that is what makes their love even better.

Tonight my cousin called me about a deceased dog in her neighborhood, off Maclay (busy road), it didn't have a collar and wasn't one she's familiar with in the neighborhood. She posted on Nextdoor looking for an owner.

I went to scan the pup and if needed transport to Oregon Humane Society Salem campus. Moments before I got there a good Samaritan wanted to take the dog and burry it. Luckily my cousin explained I was on my way to scan him.

I scanned the dog and discovered he was microchipped!! It was registered and I learned sweet Rocky lived just around the corner. We located the family and they were upset, he had been missing for an hour or so and they had been looking for him.

It only takes a second for a dog to escape out an open door/window, broken fence board, startled by something and bolt. In the worst case scenario like this it is SO IMPORTANT to make sure your pet is microchipped and contact information is current. Collars can come off easily and sometimes pets are only identified because of their microchip.

This is a great reminder that it is a law to stop to check on an animal, render aid, attempt to locate an owner or notify authorities (non-emergency for after business hours). There are camera's everywhere now days and I do encourage searching for the responsible vehicle.

Also, DO NOT immediately pick up a domesticed animal that likely has owners and burry without checking for a microchip!! You may have good intentions but families deserve closure and to provide the family a chance to memorialize their way.

I love how small community's come together to help pets in need. Thanks to Dayton residents and the rock quarry employees these two little pups that were likely dumped are safe!

Thank you Harmony New Beginnings Animal Rescue - Medical and Nutritional Rehab Center for giving them a safe place to land! I can only trap when I have a placement plan.

If you can help contribute towards their care and help us continuing to save pets please do so via www.hnbar.org donate link. We have teamed up to help the counties lacking animal control services. Polk has THE best animal control officer BUT not an actual shelter, just holding kennels. Yamhill doesn't have any animal control.
