Most people never see half of it, and we are so grateful for all of it. 🩺

Our technicians handle far more than the exam room reveals, from anesthesia monitoring to emergency triage. Join us in recognizing them this National Veterinary Technician Week. 💙

Behind every pet who gets to go home is a vet tech who didn’t give up on them. 🐾 This Veterinary Technician Appreciation Week, we’re sharing a note that says it better than we ever could. Read it, share it, and send some love to the vet techs in your life. 💚

That fresh mulch could be more dangerous than you think. 🍂 Cocoa mulch contains compounds similar to chocolate and can be toxic to dogs. If your pup snacks on mulch, don’t wait, give us a call. https://wilvetsalem.com/contact/

Oh no! Did your pet raid the trash after dinner? 🗑️🐶

Don't panic, but act fast. Before doing anything else, keep them away from the area and save any food packaging. Never induce vomiting unless directed by a professional. If you suspect they ate something toxic, call our animal hospital or a pet poison helpline immediately. Prompt veterinary care can make all the difference!

Reach out to our team if you need immediate guidance. 🐾 https://wilvetsalem.com/contact/

Fall cleaning means new hazards for curious noses. 🧼 Mothballs, chimney cleaners, and other seasonal products should always be stored where pets can’t reach them.

If you suspect your pet has been exposed to or ingested something harmful, act quickly but don’t induce vomiting unless a veterinary professional tells you to.

Before calling, have the product label or a clear photo ready, along with your pet’s weight and the approximate time of exposure or ingestion. These details can help your veterinarian determine the safest next steps.

When in doubt, contact us or a pet poison service right away. 🐾

🌿 Plants can brighten any space, but not all of them are safe for cats.

Before bringing a new plant into your home or garden, check whether it’s cat-friendly. Some common plants can be harmful if chewed or ingested, and fertilizers, pesticides, and plant treatments may also pose a risk.

Keep toxic plants out of your home, choose pet-safe products, and remember: placing a plant “out of reach” may not stop a curious climber! 🐱🪴

A little research can help your plants and your cat thrive safely together.
