My whole career has been about ending economic euthanasia. (Do you know what that is? We ❤️ our pets too much to permit this).
Because,,,,
It’s not about just the cost of care going up. It’s much more than that. It’s the heartbreak of being told that there is a chance at getting better with a price tag that is insurmountable. It’s being faced with giving up both your pet and your hope for bringing your pet home with you. That’s what is breaking pet parents. The feeling that price dictates hope.
There is a new movement underway. You will hear about it more and more as the profession recognizes that our whole purpose is to offer help while fostering compassion. It’s why you see marketing about “spectrum of care.” More honest and affordable options at the first discussion (and not just after you say you can’t afford the “Gold Standard “ aka biggest estimate they provide).
We will keep reminding everyone that hope and love don’t come with a price tag. If you need affordable help, ask. Ask immediately and then don’t ever lose hope. Never stop advocating for your pet. They need you, just like we all need each other.
Keep an eye on posts from other practices talking about this. It’s the new wave of care, and it’s about time.

Sometimes they just grab your heart …….. For everyone that met this beautiful boy , Simba has been coming to see us for several years ….. Simba crossed the rainbow bridge ….. positive thoughts for his amazing family
