I’ve been doing some thinking about what I want Quarter Acre Homestead to look like going forward.
In my dream world, I would put out a full farmstand every day AND still have the time and patience to parent three kids 5 & under, homeschool, maintain a clean house, take care of the chickens, bees, garden, and dog, take care of myself, and nurture my marriage. 😂
However… that is not the reality I live in.
Lately, I’ve found myself dreading things that I typically find so much joy in. I’ve been feeling burnt out, spread thin, and like I’m constantly trying to keep up with everything instead of actually enjoying it.
So I’m making some changes. 🤍
What you can expect going forward:
Regular farmstand offerings:
* Fresh sourdough bread
* pizza crust
* Seasonal farmstand goodies
Occasional offerings:
* Oatmeal cream pies
* Other more time consuming baked goods
I’m going to be focusing on the things that make the most sense for our little homestead. I’d rather spend my limited time making a few really good things than trying to keep a huge menu stocked.
Which, sadly, means oatmeal cream pies won’t be a regular item anymore. 😭
That doesn’t mean you’ll never see them again! They’ll just be a “sometimes” item rather than a regular offering. They are by far my most time consuming product AND my least profitable item. As much as I love them, they just don’t make sense for this season of life.
So if you’re a bread or pizza crust person… you’re in luck. 😂🍞🍕
This isn’t me giving up on the farmstand. It’s me making it sustainable enough that I can actually enjoy and maintain it!
Thank you for continuing to support our little homestead and allowing me to grow this in a way that works for our family. It means more than you know. 🤍
