Labradors are exceptionally gifted when it comes to catching treats.
They don’t catch treats.
They conduct a highly professional interception operation.
Mouth open.
Target acquired.
Dignity temporarily suspended.

Two seconds later, they’re back to looking perfectly handsome, sweet, and respectable, as though nothing happened.

🐾 Do dogs really enjoy grooming?

I get this question a lot — and I always think about going to the dentist. 😄

Do I love going? Not exactly. But give me someone gentle, patient, on time, and preferably no surprises… and I’m perfectly fine with it.

Dogs aren’t that different. Some love their spa day, some tolerate it, and some would happily vote to eliminate nail trims forever. 😂

I wrote a little about why regular, predictable grooming can make such a big difference — and why waiting until your dog really needs a groom can make the whole experience harder.

Freshly bathed. Clean. Smelling fabulous.

Terrier brain:
“ERROR. TOO CLEAN. MUST. ROLL. IMMEDIATELY.” 🤣

🥃🧇 I had Wh***ey & Waffles for breakfast today.
The plan was simple: Wh***ey with a nice serving of fluffy Waffles. 😋
But once I started cooking… there was a slight change to the recipe. 😂
Turns out all that doodle fluff was ready for a fresh start.
So fluffy Waffles became crispy Waffles…
and Wh***ey? Definitely served neat. 🥃✂️

A few impressive piles of doodle fluff later, breakfast was ready.

🥃 Wh***ey — neat.
🧇 Waffles — extra crispy.
🐾 Both — fresh, comfortable, and ridiculously cute.

Not exactly the breakfast I planned, but I’d say the recipe turned out pretty delicious. 😂❤️

Now the important question: Who can guess which one is Wh***ey and which one is Waffles? 👀🥃🧇

Meet Ms. Bebe Boykin and Mr. George Cocker.
Nobody told me I was grooming Stevie Nicks and Keith Richards. 🤘🎸

The hair. The attitude. The complete disregard for conventional grooming standards. 😂

And why should he?

When you’re a very good boy, an absolute sweetheart, AND you happen to have the sexiest butt in town, you don’t hide it.

You highlight it. ✨

Today Charlie went with a bold fashion statement:
business in the front, party in the back. 🎉
Charlie doesn’t care about outdated rules like “pink is for girls.”
Charlie’s rule is much simpler:

POV: You spent the first 20 minutes acting like you were being taken to the principal’s office… 😒

Then suddenly…

“WAIT… this place has belly rubs, treats, compliments, and people who tell me I’m handsome?!” 🤩

The blue snood at bath time? Total hostage vibes. 😅
The final photo? “I LIVE HERE NOW.”

But the best time of the appointment happens when the door opens, they spot their person, and the happiness goes from 100 to 1,000.

That moment is priceless. 💜

I’ve groomed Beau six times, and only today I discovered his true identity.

He is not a Standard Poodle.

He is a unicorn. Or possibly a bicorn. 🦄😂

Apparently, while shampooing his topknot, I unknowingly activated his magical horns.

Once he’s dry, he goes back to being the elegant gentleman everyone knows. But during bath time… Beau reveals his mythical side.

Just another normal day grooming magical creatures at Pawté. ✨🐾
