She came all the way from Kentucky, only to have her placement fall through before they even met her!

SINGLE LOOKING FOR LOVE!!
Napoleon is 5yrs, 6lbs and is ready for his forever home. He is located in Brooksville with our trainer.

His family bought him as a puppy from a pet shop. They took excellent care of him and showered him with love, perhaps too much love. As he got older, he became a bit of an unruly, spoiled boy with an attitude.

They took him to a trainer who had him for two weeks. Unfortunately, that was not enough time for him and he did not really show any improvement.

A couple of months ago, they decided to hire another trainer. They were referred to a very experienced trainer who has been working with him and he is now ready to go to his forever home.

It was heart wrenching for his owners to make the decision to let him go, when they decided they were no longer the right home for Napoleon.

They have a very active and busy life and it is no longer the lifestyle that suits him best. They really want what's best for him and that means finding the right home and situation for him to have a happy life.

Napoleon's trainer describes him as a "solid citizen" who although only five years old, would like a quiet life by his owner's side. While he enjoys affection, he is not a lap dog. He will come to you for affection but when he is done, he will move away to be in his own space.

He is potty trained, enjoys going on walks, and knows commands like sit, down, and stay. He also entertains himself playing with his toys. He is a good passenger in the car, good at the vet and while getting groomed.

He does well with other dogs, but he is not necessarily interested in being part of a pack or having a partner. Napoleon will do best in a home with no children.

Anyone interested in Napoleon will meet with the trainer located in Brooksville to make sure it's the right fit.

If you are interested in making him a part of your family, please complete an adoption application online. https://www.floridapoodlerescue.org/adoption-application/

❤️🐩🐾SUGAR'S DREAM HOME
When Sugar's owner went into a nursing home, he gave his two pets, a Yorkie and Miss Sugar, to a neighbor. Sadly, the neighbor already had a dog and two cats. It would have been too many pets for her, so she kept the Yorkie and called Florida Poodle Rescue for help with Sugar.

Sugar was the perfect name because she has a beautiful personality and she is a happy girl who loves everyone. Her fosters, Natasha and Bob, said she was a pleasure to have in their home.

Sugar had not been well cared previously and was a bit overweight. Natasha gradually got her used to going for walks and Sugar lost a pound in just one month.

From the moment Scott and Lauren arrived, Sugar seemed to know they were her new people! She met them at the door with enthusiasm and greeted them each with kisses.

After a brief visit getting to know each other a bit, they all felt ready to make it official. When it was time to leave, Sugar showed no hesitation in joining Scott and Lauren to begin her new life!

Since being adopted two days ago, her dad has been introducing her to both classical music and Jazz--which she is thoroughly enjoying as evidenced by the attached pictures🤣

Thanks to Becky for checking references, Michaele for doing the home visit and to Natasha and Bob who are amazing foster parents.

Congratulations Sugar!!! ❤️

❤️🐩🐾MARGOT GOES HOME!
Margot came to Florida Poodle Rescue due to her owner's failing health. It was a painful decision, but one she felt she needed to make.

Margot's foster said she was easy to care for and adjusted quickly to her foster home. She was also respectful of the senior resident dogs. All they had to do was give a little growl to let Margo know her puppy energy was a bit much for them and she would simply move out of their way. She loved the freedom of running and playing in the yard and she was a great traveler during transport.

Colleen and Rocke were looking for a new mate for their sweet Demi. Being considerate of Demi, they drove 3 1/2 hours the night before the scheduled meet and greet to break up what would have been a long 7 hour round trip.

Margot now being called Cosette was SO excited to meet her new family--that she didn't stop running around the yard for almost 20 minutes! She would run up to them for a quick pet and then run around the yard again!

While running around the yard Margot picked up quite a few little green stickers in her hair. New mom and foster mom had to spend a few minutes combing the stickers out of Margo's hair. She seemed to enjoy all the attention she was getting!

Margot sat quietly on the couch while her new Mom filled out her adoption paperwork...coming over a couple times to make sure she was doing it correctly.😊

Then, she sat patiently while being harnessed into her very nice car seat...that sits up high enough that she could see out the window and watch the world go by as she traveled to her wonderful new home. Happy Tails Margot!

Thanks to Leslie for picking Margot up, Becky for checking references, Georgia for doing the home visit and especially to Diane, her foster mom, who always takes excellent care of the "littles" as she calls them.
Congratulations to Our New Family! 🎉 🎉 🎉

♥️🐩🐾SAMSON ADOPTED AND IT'S A DREAM COME TRUE!
Congratulations to Samson and his incredible new family!!

He came to Florida Poodle Rescue when his former owner had to move into an assisted living facility. He was described by his previous owner as a wonderful dog with good manners and an easy going personality.

He loves to play and lucky for him,
he has a very happy and active new family. Samson's family consists of former adopters, Richard and Alisa, their 17 year old son, and two Poodle siblings. Ranger and Komondor Luna are both Florida Poodle Rescue Alums!

Thank you to our volunteers in Intake and transportation, our vets, and Lynne for reference checks. Special thanks to Nan for fostering this sweet boy, loving him, and getting him ready for his new home!
Congratulations to all who made this possible! 🎉 🎉 🎉
