It’s fall, y’all. 🍁

All the Play and Train dogs are enjoying the glimpse of cooler weather and sunshine as they explore the ranch with their friends.

Puppy picking success! This handsome young man is headed to Kentucky as a therapy dog prospect. He’s gentle, brave, and people oriented with a good off switch. Good luck, sweet boy! 💙

Lucille was so wary of the horses when she arrived. She’d bark anxiously and jump backwards, even from yards away. We worked on engagement and confidence building (with the fence between us) on every one of her walks and tonight she could leash walk calmly among them while they grazed. Great job, Lucille, and thanks to Winnie and Spaghetti for being safe and trustworthy around well behaved client pups. 🐴

Puppy picking success at Life is Ruff Goldens. Dusty and Biscuit are en route to Utah to live their very best life. I got a chance to evaluate the rest of the litter and I see the best of their parents in these incredibly smart babies. Maddie and Brady both went through training with us and thorough health testing before their breeding careers. Sam’s program produces wonderful, stable family goldens with the confidence and drive to do higher level training if their families so choose. ❤️

Visiting old dog friends and helping pick new ones 💖

Octopus 🐙 now “Biscuit” and Swan 🦢 now “Dusty” have found their wonderful forever families. These two sweet girls will be traveling to Utah tomorrow where they will live close to one another and will see each other very often! Dusty and Biscuit are the half sisters of Andee 💜 from Maddie’s first litter! Andee is a phenomenal pup! She is a medical alert service dog. Andee and Dusty will be living together! We look forward to seeing updates and watching these little ones grow ☺️ To The Rescue Dog Training, LLC

The best way to Monday 🐶

While owner visits during training can be disruptive and distracting for the dogs, we do make exceptions for our graduates if they come for long term boarding. Goose, right, has been staying with us while his dad attends Fire Academy over the course of two months. His dad has come religiously on the weekends during our Saturday drop off window to visit his best friend. This morning we had no drop offs so Goose got to introduce his dad to one of his best dog friends, Kovu. I think the puppy fever has officially set in and we might be training another dog for Goose’s family before too long. 🐾

Kovu, a 5 month old English Cream Golden, graduated from his one week leash manners camp today. Leash pressure communicates so much to your dog and mastering it can fix or prevent a variety of other issues. He did great with a ton of distractions and gave us a chance to help him work through his worries as he experiences new things. Great job, sweet boy!
