Celebrating the last days of summer? Keep these common holiday hazards away from your pets:

🌭 Cookout Foods – Bones, fatty foods, onions, grapes, chocolate & alcohol can be dangerous.

🔥 Hot Grills – Keep curious paws and noses away from grills, charcoal & skewers.

☀️ Heat & Hot Pavement – Provide shade and fresh water, and keep those paws off hot surfaces.

🎆 Fireworks & Loud Noises – Give nervous pets a quiet, secure place indoors.

🏊 Pools & Water – Always supervise pets around pools, lakes and boats.

🦟 Bug Sprays & Sunscreen – Human products may not be safe for pets.

🚪 Open Gates & Doors – Holiday gatherings make escapes easier. Double-check collars, ID tags and microchip information.

🐾 Meet Valentine! ❤️

Valentine is a sweet 7-year-old Great Pyrenees who recently came to see us for his new client exam and to start his wellness journey. He also came back for an important part of staying healthy—a dental cleaning!

Dental care is about more than fresh breath! Plaque and tartar can lead to gum disease, painful teeth, and infection. Regular dental exams and cleanings can help catch problems early and keep those smiles healthy.

We loved having this handsome guy visit us! ❤️

⚾️🐾 Vet Med Takes the Trop! 🐾⚾️

Almost our entire clinic crew was able to spend the day at Tropicana Field for the Rays’ Veterinarian Appreciation Day! 💙⚾️

It’s not often we get this many of us together outside of work, so we loved trading scrubs for Rays gear, cheering on the home team, and just enjoying a fun day together! 🐶🐱⚾️

We may spend our days taking care of pets, but today was all about celebrating our amazing veterinary team! 💙🐾

🐾 Always Learning. Always Ready. ❤️

You may notice some extra-cute stuffed patients in these photos! They were helping our Florida Veterinary Clinic team practice CPR and emergency response skills in a safe, hands-on training environment.

Veterinary CPR training gives our team the opportunity to practice important lifesaving skills, including recognizing an emergency, performing chest compressions, supporting breathing, and working together as a team when every second counts.

While we hope we never need to use these skills on your pet, practicing with stuffed animals and training models allows our team to learn, ask questions, and build confidence before a real emergency happens.

Continuing education is such an important part of veterinary medicine, and we’re proud of our team for always learning and working to provide the best care possible for your pets. ❤️🐾

🐱 When Was Your Cat’s Last Checkup?

Hiro just finished his very first visit with us, and we think he was pretty happy to be heading home after a successful appointment!

Routine exams give us a chance to check things like weight, dental health, heart and lungs, skin and coat, mobility, and overall health. Depending on your cat’s age and lifestyle, we may also recommend vaccinations, parasite prevention, or routine lab work.

This adorable kitten came to see us for his very first visit and officially started his wellness journey! From routine exams and vaccinations to prevention and everything in between, those first kitten visits are so important for a healthy start.

Lucifer was such a great boy for his appointment and looks like he is ready to go home! 😂🐾

📚🐶 School Is Back in Session!

It’s back-to-school time, and Charlie is ready! He may be 11 years young, but he’s still a puppy at heart and all packed up for his senior year! ❤️
