Is your pet at a healthy weight? Sometimes it is easy to tell just by looking. 🐾

Around 59% of dogs, 61% of cats, and 26% of rabbits in the U.S. are classified as overweight or obese. Maintaining a healthy weight can support better mobility, everyday comfort, and overall wellbeing.

If your pet needs a little weight loss support, the St. Pete Vet Team team can help. A few small changes to food, activity, or daily routines can go a long way.

Your pet can’t tell Dr. Foley what’s changed, but a thorough wellness exam can.

Bloodwork, a change in weight, energy, or behavior can all add important context during a visit.

Dr. Foley looks at those little details together with what you’ve been noticing at home to get a clearer picture of how your pet is doing.

Florida's biggest rabies risk isn't the one raiding your trash at night. 🦇

In 2025, bats and raccoons were nearly tied for the most rabies cases in Florida. The scariest part? Bat bites can be so small they go completely undetected. Your pet could have an encounter you never even know happened.

World Rabies Day is September 28th. Call 727-214-3527 or text 727-218-5333 to check your pet's vaccination status.

St. Pete has seen some interesting candidates. None of them have been this cute. 🐾

In 1981, a dog named Bosco ran for honorary mayor of a small California town. He beat two humans. He served 13 years. St. Pete deserves the same energy.

What would your pet run on? Drop their campaign promise below and share this to your story for a chance to be featured!

September is Pain Awareness Month. If your pet has slowed down lately, don't write it off as just getting older. Pain in pets is sneaky especially when they can't tell you it hurts.

St. Pete Vet offers customized pain relief for dogs, cats & rabbits.

Out of the veterinary locations that I have experienced over the years. This location and staff has been beyond exceptional of my expectations and experience. They listened with respect and patience with the knowledge, concerns I have with my k9 and feline. They answer my questions every time I ask. They don't force unnecessary treatments due to their personal one on one care for each patient they have. They should be Best of the Bay

Be honest. Which movie pet parent are you? 🎬

🛍️ Elle & Bruiser: matching outfits, spa days, and your pet goes everywhere in a bag.

🚀 Ripley & Jonesy: your pet is your ride or die. Errands, road trips, maybe even space.

🐱 Katie & Max: you thought you knew your pet. Turns out they have a whole secret life when you leave the house.

Drop your answer in the comments! We have a feeling most of you are giving major Elle & Bruiser energy.
