Fischer Animal Hospital is a progressive practice offering veterinary care for all stages of your pet's life. Peters area since 1985. After Dr. Fischer's retirement, she passed her torch on to Dr. Mike and his amazing team. Our three veterinarians, Dr. Mike Richards Practice owner, Dr. Kyle Ihnken, and Dr. Megan Scott, have over 26 years of combined experience. In addition to the doctors, we have

an exceptional staff: Sarah, Kate, Olivia, Dawn, Cherlyn, Lindsey, Alexis and Katie to meet the needs of our clients and patients. Our Mission statement to our clients is Prolonging your pet's life by providing gold standard preventative care. We consider the clients that we have serviced over the years as friends, and their pets are part of our family. Our promise to you is to treat your pet like our pet. Today we’re celebrating our amazing Practice Manager, Kate! 💛

Kate is seriously a walking ray of sunshine...even though her favorite color is black. 🖤☀️ She knows our clinic inside and out, and we truly would be lost without her!

While we may be closed for the weekend, that doesn’t mean your cat gets a free pass!!

Cats are experts at hiding when something doesn’t feel right, which is why regular wellness visits are so important. ❤️
From routine exams and vaccinations to dental care and catching small problems early, a little preventative care can go a long way toward keeping your cat happy and healthy.

Planning to bring your furry friend to PETaPalooza? We’re all for it! 🐶🐱 Before you head out, keep these simple safety tips in mind:

☀️ Watch the heat: Make sure your pet has access to water and take breaks in the shade.
💧 Bring water: A portable bowl and fresh water are a must for outdoor events.
🐕 Keep them leashed: Even the friendliest pets can get overwhelmed in a busy crowd.
👀 Know your pet: If your pet seems stressed, anxious, or overwhelmed, give them some space or consider heading home.
🐾 Watch their paws: Hot pavement can burn paw pads, so stick to grassy areas when possible.
