On Saturday, July 11, Dr. Courtney Daum-Kappler will be in the barns checking health papers and visiting with exhibitors.

She will begin with 4-H exhibitors at 12:30 p.m., followed by Junior and Open exhibitors. Please be prepared and have all required paperwork available.

We would also like to extend our sincere appreciation to Dr. Daum-Kappler for donating her time and expertise to the Fayette County Fair. We are grateful for everything she does for our exhibitors and livestock program!

The girls kicked off America's birthday celebration in style, embracing the Fourth of July and the country's 250th birthday with enthusiasm. We lit some sparklers and smoke bombs this afternoon, spreading joy and excitement.

This morning, Brecken lent a helping hand, joining Abbi for a sweep and clean of surgery, and he thought it was an absolute blast!

Stay safe this holiday weekend! Dr. Daum-Kappler will be available for emergency services if needed. As a reminder, we are closed on Saturday to allow staff to spend quality time with their loved ones. With possible big fireworks, please prioritize the well-being of pets, livestock, and loved ones, keeping them calm, cool, and safe during the heat wave and celebrations.

Dr. Daum-Kappler will be out of the office from Wednesday until late Sunday evening. The office will maintain its regular business hours. My staff will be available to assist with medication pickup, answer questions, and schedule future appointments. They will have access to consult with me as needed. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your understanding. I am utilizing this time to spend quality time with my family, which is essential for maintaining a healthy work-life balance. Although I strive to be available for my patients and clients, my family deserves uninterrupted time with me. Upon our return, we will be refreshed, revitalized, and focused on delivering exceptional care for your animals' needs.

The clinic will operate tomorrow with limited hours from 8am to 5pm. Due to potential road conditions and safety concerns, we may maintain a reduced staff, potentially consisting of a single member, Dr. Daum-Kappler. I have received a few inquiries from clients requiring medication collection or care for ill animals, and I am committed to accommodating these needs. Due to weather concerns, the clinic will shorten its hours to 10:30am this morning.
