ONE YEAR. WHAT A DIFFERENCE A YEAR MAKES.
A year ago, we had just closed on the business and walked straight into a FULL boarding room over MEA weekend.
Same weekend. Same space. A VERY different sound.
October 15th marked one year since we took the leap into business ownership, building upon something that had been decades in the making.
First, we want to acknowledge and thank the woman who spent decades building this business before us. What she created gave us the foundation and opportunity to step into this next chapter and make it our own. We know handing over something you built from the ground up couldn’t have been an easy decision, and we don’t take that lightly. We’re incredibly grateful you chose us to carry it forward. 🙏🏼❤️
And what a year it’s been! Blood, sweat, SO many tears, sleepless nights, growing pains, and more hurdles than we could’ve imagined. There have been days we’ve questioned what on earth we got ourselves into (and whether we’d made the biggest mistake of our lives 😂).
But we kept going.
We’ve introduced new routines, invested in training and enrichment, reimagined our approach to daycare and boarding, and worked to create a more balanced, intentional environment for the dogs in our care.
And this video? It might just look like a room full of dogs resting quietly in their suites.
To us, it’s EVERYTHING.
It’s a year’s worth of patience, consistency, learning, trial and error, and a team that has grown right alongside us. It’s a reminder that progress isn’t always something you see. Sometimes, it’s something you hear. Or, in this case, don’t hear. 😉
To our incredible staff, thank you for hanging in there with us through the growing pains and helping bring our vision to life. And to our clients, thank you for trusting us with your pups, embracing the changes, and supporting us through this wild first year.
We’re still learning, still growing, and have so much more we want to accomplish.
But today, we’re taking a moment to appreciate how far we’ve come, and everyone who helped get us here.
One year ago, we could barely hear ourselves think. Today, we can hear the progress. ❤
