Since its launch, the event has helped more than 15,000 pets find families, transforming lives while strengthening communities across South Carolina. The effort is powered by Petco Love and organized through Charleston Animal Society's No Kill South Carolina initiative, a groundbreaking collaboration that helped South Carolina become the first No Kill State across the southern US.

Throughout the ten-day event, participating organizations from the Lowcountry to the Upstate will offer free and low-fee adoptions, making it easier than ever for families to welcome a new companion into their homes.

For thousands of South Carolina pets, the ten days between June 12th and June 21st could mean the difference between waiting and starting their new life in a loving home. The message is simple: 𝑷𝒊𝒄𝒌 𝑴𝒆!

𝕎𝕖 𝕙𝕒𝕧𝕖 𝕤𝕠𝕞𝕖𝕥𝕙𝕚𝕟𝕘 𝕥𝕠 𝕔𝕖𝕝𝕖𝕓𝕣𝕒𝕥𝕖! 🎉🐾

In the last month, more than ３５ 𝐝𝐨𝐠𝐬 have left our shelter and headed to rescue partners, giving them a second chance at the lives they deserve.

These lifesaving opportunities don’t happen by accident. We are incredibly grateful for Director Hailey, who works tirelessly behind the scenes to build rescue relationships and keep dogs moving out of our shelter and into brighter futures. We are also thankful for our amazing shelter team, whose hard work and dedication make these success stories possible every day.

While we’re celebrating these victories, our shelter is still full of wonderful dogs waiting for their chance.

That’s why we’re excited to be participating in Petco Love Pick Me! SC, June 12–21. This statewide event brings together shelters, rescues, and Petco stores across South Carolina to help pets find loving homes.

🐾 WE ARE DROWNING IN PUPPIES 🐾

Today alone, these 7 precious faces came through our doors... and heartbreakingly, they’re only part of the 17 puppies we currently have needing foster placement.💔

They should be learning what toys are, taking naps in living rooms, and being spoiled with cuddles - not spending their puppy days in a shelter.

We desperately need fosters willing to step up and help us save lives. Even fostering for a short time makes a huge impact.

These babies need:
🐶Warm beds
🐶Full bellies
🐶Love and patience
🐶Someone willing to give them a chance

We provide supplies and support. You provide the temporary safe haven.
