🐾 Calling all pups! Class starts THIS WEEK! 🎉

Ready for better manners, more confidence, and a dog who’s easier to enjoy in everyday life? Our September group classes are kicking off, and there’s still time to join us! Only a few spots left💗

🐕 Everyday Etiquette — Wednesdays at 5PM

Perfect for dogs of all ages! We’ll work on practical skills like leash manners, polite greetings, focus, impulse control, stays, recall, and other real-life behaviors that make living with your dog easier.

🐶 Shining Starts Puppy — Fridays at 9AM

Give your puppy the best start! We’ll focus on age-appropriate socialization, confidence building, basic manners, handling, focus, and the foundational skills every family puppy needs.

🏅 AKC Canine Good Citizen — Wednesdays at 9AM

Build on your dog’s existing skills while working toward the AKC CGC! We’ll practice polite greetings, walking nicely around people and dogs, stays, recall, handling, and calm behavior out in the real world.

🐾 Open Group Training — Wednesdays at 6PM

Already have some training under your belt? Our ongoing all-level group gives you a chance to keep practicing and strengthening skills in different real-world environments.

🎆🇺🇸 Pet Safety: Keeping Your Pets Safe This Fourth of July ❤️🐾

While we celebrate with family, friends, and fireworks, many of our pets experience one of the most stressful nights of the year.

A little preparation can make a big difference!

Here are Bark to Bliss’ top Fourth of July safety tips:

🎇 Keep pets indoors. Even dogs who never leave your side can panic if startled by fireworks.

🏡 Create a safe space. Close curtains, turn on a TV or fan for background noise, and let your pet relax in their favorite room, crate, or cozy hiding spot.

🏷️ Check collars and ID tags. Make sure they’re wearing current identification and that your microchip information is up to date—just in case.

🚪 Be extra careful with doors and gates. Guests coming and going can create the perfect opportunity for a frightened pet to slip outside.

🦴 Provide enrichment before the fireworks begin. A long walk, sniffing adventure, training session, stuffed Kong, lick mat, or chew can help your dog relax before the festivities start.

🎆 Don’t force your dog to “face their fears.” Comfort them if they seek you out, and let them choose where they feel safest. Fear isn’t reinforced by kindness—it grows when dogs feel trapped or overwhelmed.

❤️ If your dog struggles with fireworks, storms, or other fears, know that you’re not alone. Fear-free training and behavior modification can help dogs build confidence over time.
