💩🐾 Save the p**p! 🐾💩

It may not be glamorous, but a f***l sample can tell us a lot about your pet's health!

Many intestinal parasites aren't visible to the naked eye and can be present even when your pet seems completely healthy. Routine f***l testing helps us catch problems early and keep your pet feeling their best.

✔️ Detect hidden parasites
✔️ Identify causes of diarrhea and digestive upset
✔️ Protect your pet and family from certain parasites that can be transmitted to humans
✔️ Monitor puppies and kittens, who are especially vulnerable to parasites
✔️ Help keep other pets in your household safe
✔️ Support your pet's overall health and wellness

So before your pet's next appointment, don't forget to bring a fresh stool sample along. It might not be your favorite thing to carry, but your pet will thank you! 🐶🐱❤️

Michigan weather has been all over the place lately — one day chilly, the next feeling like summer ☀️🌤️🐾

As temperatures start warming up, here are a few easy ways to help keep your pets safe and comfortable:

💧 Keep fresh water available at all times
🌳 Make sure outdoor pets have access to shade
🚗 Never leave pets in the car
🐕 Walk during cooler morning or evening hours
🐾 Check pavement before walks — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws
🍦 Frozen treats and cooling mats can help too!

If your pet is panting excessively, acting weak, or seems overheated, give Saint Johns Animal Clinic a call right away ❤️

Spring flowers are blooming… but so are seasonal allergies 🌼🐾

If your pet has been extra itchy lately, chewing at their paws, shaking their head, or dealing with watery eyes, allergies could be the reason. Sometimes the signs seem small at first, but ongoing irritation can make your pet pretty miserable.

May is National Allergy & Asthma Awareness Month, so it’s the perfect time to keep an eye out for those common allergy symptoms. If your pet seems uncomfortable, give Saint Johns Animal Clinic a call — we’re here to help them get back to feeling happy, comfortable, and itch-free 💚

Today, we remember and honor the brave men, women, and K9 heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. 🐾❤️

From all of us at Saint Johns Animal Clinic, we are forever grateful for the courage, loyalty, and service of those who gave everything — both two-legged and four-legged heroes alike.

Wishing everyone a safe and meaningful Memorial Day as we take time to reflect, remember, and honor the fallen. ✨
