🍁 Watch for seasonal allergies: Keep an eye out for itchy skin, excessive paw licking, or irritated ears.

🍂 Be mindful on walks: Acorns, mushrooms, and other things pets may find outdoors can pose a risk if eaten.

🐾 Keep paws clean: Wipe your pet’s paws after walks to remove mud, debris, and potential irritants.

🧡 Make cozy spots: As temperatures drop, make sure your pets have a warm, comfortable place to rest, especially senior pets.

🐴 Equine Dental Clinic: October 16th & 17th 🐴

Fall is here, and winter is right behind it, which makes this the perfect time to get your horse's teeth checked and floated.

Every horse benefits from routine dental care, but it matters most for our seniors. Older horses often have worn, loose, or missing teeth that make it hard to chew hay properly. When pasture is gone, and they're relying on hay to stay warm and hold their weight, a sore or uneven mouth can turn into a real problem.

Signs your horse may be due:

•Dropping feed or wads of partially chewed hay (quidding)
•Losing weight or struggling to keep it on
•Eating slowly or tilting the head while chewing
•Fussing with the bit or bad breath

We're hosting an Equine Dental Clinic with SCMN Equine Express and equine dentist BJ Ragatz on Friday, October 16th and Saturday, October 17th in our large animal facility.
