🎆 Fireworks Are Fun for Us... But They Can Be Terrifying for Our Dogs. 🐾❤️

As we celebrate the 4th of July, let’s remember that our four-legged family members experience fireworks very differently. The loud booms, flashing lights, and unfamiliar smells can cause extreme stress, anxiety, and even panic.

A few simple precautions can help keep your dog safe this holiday:
🐶 Keep your dog indoors before the fireworks begin.

🔒 Make sure collars and ID tags are secure in case they become frightened and try to escape.

🏠 Create a quiet, comfortable “safe space” with their favorite blanket or bed.

🎶 Turn on a TV, fan, or calming music to help drown out the noise.

🚪 Keep doors, gates, and windows securely closed.

🚫 Never bring your dog to a fireworks show—even confident dogs can panic unexpectedly.

🦴 Offer a stuffed Kong, chew, or favorite toy to help keep them occupied.

💊 If your dog has severe anxiety, talk with your veterinarian ahead of time about safe calming options.
