St. Croix Veterinary Center We’re excited to announce we are opening this fall! Welcome to Interstate Veterinary Hospital! We are conveniently located in Centuria, WI.

Formed from Interstate Veterinary Hospital, Northwest Wisconsin Veterinary Services, and Valley View Veterinary Hospital, we’re bringing decades of care to one modern space. We provide veterinary service for both Large Animals and Companion Animals. Currently we are a growing two doctor practice utilizing multiple Certified Veterinary Technicians and veterinary assistants to care for our patients and serve our clients. We continue to evolve as the need for veterinary care changes and strive to serve our community with current veterinary science and medicine.

Safety and protection is key! 🔑 Things to remember-
1. The ticks are out any time the weather is above freezing, so that's possible even when we have snow! ❄️
2. Fleas can live in cold conditions as well because they can rely on the warmth of the host, or the warmth of your home! 🏠
3. Because of unpredictable weather where we live, Mosquitoes can be out in March, or December. 🦟
4. All year round protection is safest❗️

Things to do when it comes to rat poison...
-Call us right away. 📞(715)-646-2312 *We consider this an emergency so if something happens after hours we advise calling an emergency clinic*
-If you have access to it, SAVE the packaging as active ingredients decide our doctor's treatment plans.
-Rat poison is highly dangerous and can be deadly to our pets, just as it is to the rodents it was intended for.
-Even if you don't have rat poison out, your neighbor might! Always be aware of the possibility of access!

In the year of 2024 there were two reported positive cases of rabies in Polk County WI. In 2025, the whole state of WI reported 25 positive cases. Rabies is very real and is deadly to both animals and humans. Avoid touching or interacting with wildlife like skunks or bats etc. as it is unsafe and poses health risks. This is also your reminder to keep your pets current on the rabies vaccine. If you have a bat in your house and need advice on how to handle the situation, call us at 715-646-2312.
