Abolla is the last of his litter to find a home!

This 2-month-old neutered kitten came as part of a transfer to TCHS and spent time in a foster home to grow big enough for adoption. He has been around other cats and children and did OK with them. He is a still a little on the nervous side, so he'll need some patience.

Meet him at Tri-County Humane Society!

Most guinea pigs are social creatures and prefer living in same-sex pairs. Not Bear - he's a loner. A rebel.

In the past, this 2-year-old guy picked on a guinea pig friend. Bear would do best as a solo piggie with plenty of opportunities for enrichment.

Lettuce is his favorite treat. Bear will happily squeak with joy when he hears the fridge open!

Meet Francesca!

This 1-year-old spayed cat spent some time in foster care to raise her kitten, Fiorella. The little one has left the nest (she got adopted), so Francesca is looking for her own home.

Her foster said, "Francesca is a shy, sweet girl who loves chin scratches and pets. She is playful and loves spring toys and wand toys. She enjoys climbing a cat tree, laying in the sun, and watching the birds from the window."

Francesca and all TCHS cats 6 months and older are 50 percent off right meow!

Ember is so playful and p***y!

This 2-year-old spayed tortie is highly food motivated (same). She has done well with other cats in the past, and she forms strong bonds with her favorite humans. She loves to climb, so a cat tree in her new home would be fantastic.

All TCHS cats 6 months and older are 50 percent off right meow!

Last year, Alex Dietz approached Tri-County Humane Society with a proposal to earn his Eagle Scout award. A member of Troop 211 out of Sartell, Alex wanted to build a much-needed shed for us. Our shelter is often full with animals, so we run out of room for supply storage. Alex asked to help.

Alex would need to raise thousands for the shed he wanted to build, so he went to work! He staffed informational tables and visited clubs and organizations around the area to make his pitch. About 100 individuals, groups, and businesses donated. Alex got most of his fundraising completed, but then winter hit, so the building would have to wait.

We're happy to share that a few weekends ago, Alex and his team completed the shed! There are so many thank yous to go around: Van's Lumber and Custom Builders out of Wisconsin donated the door; Jeff Dorner supplied tools and expertise; Zephyr Stewart volunteered throughout the entire process. We also want to thank the members of Troop 211 for volunteering their time, and TCHS' Clint Buhs, Facilities and Maintenance, for his assistance. Thank you also to everyone who donated!

And last, but definitely not least, thank you to Alex for his vision and making it a reality.

We continue to get updates from the relocated beagles' new families - and so far, everything is going great! Eight of the 11 beagles have been adopted so far.

The family of Honey (formerly known as Adelaide) sent us this sweet video of her.

Energy drink fans, we need your help!

The kittens are in need of cardboard trays, the kind that canned cat food or packs of energy drinks come in. We use them as litter boxes for our littlest guests. Ideal sizes are 8 by 11 inches or 9 by 13 inches - the kittens can't use any trays bigger than 10 by 14 inches.

We know we've been asking a lot on behalf the kittens recently - they are needy little things! If you can donate some of these cardboard trays, we'd appreciate it. They can be dropped off at our shelter during our business hours. We're at 735 8th St. NE in St. Cloud.
