Veterinary Assistant

We’re Hiring! 🐾

We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking Veterinary Assistant to join our veterinary team. The ideal candidate loves animals, enjoys working with people, and is comfortable working in a busy clinical environment.

Responsibilities

* Assist veterinarians and veterinary technicians with patient care
* Restrain and handle dogs, cats, and other animals safely and compassionately
* Prepare exam rooms and treatment areas
* Clean and sanitize kennels, equipment, and work areas
* Assist with feeding, walking, and monitoring hospitalized animals
* Help with animal intake, discharge, and client communication
* Assist with preparing patients for procedures
* Maintain accurate patient records
* Stock and organize medical supplies
* Provide excellent and compassionate care to every patient
* Perform other duties as needed to support the veterinary team

Qualifications

* Previous veterinary, animal-care, kennel, or customer-service experience preferred
* Veterinary Assistant certification is a plus but not required
* Must be comfortable handling animals
* Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
* Strong communication and organizational skills
* Compassionate attitude toward animals and their owners
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and be on your feet for extended periods
