⚾️🐾 DOMINO'S STAT LINE FROM YESTERDAY'S BARK IN THE PARK 🐾⚾️

🌟 Countless new friends met
🌟 Lots of dogs greeted politely
🌟 One ballpark hot dog consumed
🌟 Zero bad decisions made

Yesterday, Domino joined us for Bark in the Park with the Kane County Cougars and absolutely knocked it out of the park. 💙

Crowds? Easy.
Dogs? No problem.
Strangers wanting to say hello? Domino was happy to oblige.

This handsome guy spent the afternoon soaking up all the sights, sounds, smells, and excitement of a busy baseball stadium and showed everyone exactly why we adore him. He's social, adaptable, goofy, and always ready for his next adventure.

The craziest part? Somehow this all-star is STILL looking for a foster or forever home through ADOPT Pet Shelter. 🏠

If you're looking for a dog who can be your hiking buddy, patio companion, road trip copilot, and baseball game sidekick, Domino might just be your guy. ❤️

⚾️ Applications are open. The Domino fan club is accepting new members.

🐱✨ Meet Kyle! ✨🐱

This week's featured friend from ADOPT Pet Shelter is Kyle, and we're extra excited about this one because he's currently being fostered by our very own Sam! 💙

Kyle has been winning hearts left and right with his charming personality, handsome looks, and all-around excellent houseguest skills. If you're looking for a feline companion, Kyle might just be your guy. 🏡🐾

We love seeing animals find the families that are right for them, and we'd appreciate your help spreading the word. Share this post, tell your cat-loving friends, and let's help Kyle find his perfect match! 🥰

🐾✨ Rosie was on a mission this morning! ✨🐾

One of the things we love most about Rosie is that she knows exactly what she likes. 💜

When Rosie comes out with us, we don't just hand her a toy and call it enrichment. Instead, we set up her environment with lots of different options and let *her* decide how she'd like to spend her time. 🧸🦴🌿👃

Today's choice? A deep dive into the toy bin! 🕵️‍♀️🐶 After carefully inspecting her options, Rosie selected a Nylabone and headed out to the yard for some peaceful chewing time in the morning sunshine. ☀️🦴

Why does that matter? Because enrichment isn't just about keeping dogs busy—it's about giving them opportunities to make choices. 💡

Choice and autonomy help build confidence, reduce frustration, encourage problem-solving, and give dogs a sense of control over their day. Just like us, dogs benefit when they get a say in how they spend their time. ❤️

That's a big part of our boarding philosophy. We strive to create opportunities for every dog to explore, choose, learn, rest, play, sniff, chew, and simply be themselves. 🐾✨

🌈🐾 The Beatles may have said it best: *All You Need Is Love.* 🐾🌈

If you ask the dogs, they'd probably agree.

Dogs don't care who you love, how you identify, or what your family looks like. They care about kindness. They care about connection. They care about feeling safe, understood, and accepted for exactly who they are.

That's something we can learn from.

This Pride Month, we're celebrating love in all of its beautiful forms. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

But we also believe support has to go beyond simply saying "Love is Love."

Right now, many members of the LGBTQ+ community are facing uncertainty, discrimination, and challenges to their safety and rights. Celebration matters, but so does showing up. So does speaking up. So does creating spaces where people know they are genuinely welcome.

At Do Better Training, we want our friends, clients, staff, and community members to know:

🌈 You are welcome here.
🐾 You are safe here.
🌈 You are respected here.
🐾 You belong here.

Our Fear Free philosophy doesn't stop with dog training and care. It reflects how we believe all living beings deserve to be treated—with compassion, dignity, understanding, and respect.

Whether you have two legs or four, whether you're a long-time client or meeting us for the first time, we want you to know that we see you, we support you, and we're glad you're here.

Because love is beautiful.
Because kindness matters.
And because when we know better, we do better. ❤️

Happy Pride Month from all of us at Do Better Training! 🌈🐾

Some dogs dream of adventure. Lulabelle just goes and finds it. 🌲🍃🐾

One of the biggest gifts we can give our dogs is freedom—and one of the biggest skills that helps earn that freedom is a solid recall. When your dog can reliably come back when called, the world opens up a little wider. 🌎✨

That means more opportunities to explore, sniff, climb logs, investigate mysterious woodland smells, and generally conduct very important dog business. 🕵️‍♀️🐕

Lulabelle's recall is fantastic, which means she gets to enjoy adventures like this while staying safe and connected. ❤️

And before anyone asks—yes, she's still on a long line! That's the law, and it's also a great safety backup. 👍 A reliable recall isn't about taking risks. It's about creating more opportunities for our dogs while giving us peace of mind.

More freedom.
More confidence.
More adventures.
More fun. 🌲🐾💚

If you know Domino, you probably know him as one half of the infamous "Bash Brothers." 😆 Alongside Robin, he's built quite a reputation for wrestling, zooming, and occasionally leaving a trail of chaos in his wake.

But here's the thing about Domino: he's so much more than that.

While he's always happy to roughhouse with his best buddies, Domino is also incredibly thoughtful with smaller dogs. He does an amazing job adjusting his play style, reading the dogs around him, and making sure everyone is having a good time. ❤️

It's one of the many reasons we're constantly impressed by this exceptional boy. Whether he's bouncing around with Robin, heading out on an adventure, meeting new people, or hanging out with friends half his size, Domino continues to show us just how wonderfully versatile he is.

And if you'd like to see that versatility firsthand, Domino is still looking for his people through A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter! 🏡❤️ He is currently available for both foster and adoption. If you've got room in your home—and on your couch—Domino would be more than happy to help fill that space.

Interested in learning more about Domino? Reach out to ADOPT Pet Shelter and come meet this incredible guy. 🐾

If you’ve ever wondered what pure joy looks like, apparently it looks like Domino bouncing through a river at full speed 💦🐾😂

Before heading over to ADOPT for his vaccine updates, Rick took Dom out to the forest preserve for a little adventure, and Domino was VERY excited to discover the river. Not swimming. Not gracefully wading. Just fully committed bouncing and splashing directly through the water like the world’s happiest maniac ❤️

And honestly? We think this level of enthusiasm should be appreciated by a forever family 😂

The best part is that after all of his river chaos, Domino still headed to the vet clinic and did fantastic for his vaccines 🩺✨ Good boy behavior across multiple environments.

Adopt Domino and get yourself a built-in source of daily entertainment, questionable life choices, and endless enthusiasm 🐶

🐾✨ Okay, okay… we know we’re a few days late posting our recap from Sunday’s Making Strides for Strays… but between the heat, the excitement, the walking, and ALL the fun, we needed a couple days to recover too 😂☀️💚

And honestly? It was SO worth it.

What an incredible day spent surrounded by compassionate, kind, animal-loving humans all coming together to support homeless pets. Seeing so many familiar faces, meeting new friends, cheering each other on, and watching this community rally around animal welfare filled our hearts completely. 🐶🐱✨

We also want to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who supported our “Running for Robin” fundraiser 💚🐾 Whether you donated, shared our posts, walked with us, stopped to chat, or simply supported from afar — THANK YOU.

While we didn’t quite hit our $5,000 goal, together we raised an amazing **$3,000** 🎉🎉🎉 and that money will go such a long way toward helping animals in need through the incredible work being done by ADOPT Pet Shelter.

We see firsthand just how much care, effort, and love goes into helping these animals thrive, and events like this remind us that shelter pets truly have a whole community behind them. 💕🐾

And of course… we HAVE to talk about Domino 🥹💚

Our foster boy was an absolute ROCKSTAR at the event! 🌟 He met so many wonderful people, soaked up all the affection, handled the busy environment beautifully, and showed everyone just how special he is. We are so hopeful his perfect family is out there and will choose him someday soon. 🏡✨

By the ride home, Domino was absolutely DONE 😂💤 Completely sprawled out and tuckered in the back of Rick’s truck after his big day of making friends and stealing hearts. Honestly? Same, buddy. Same. 😅🐶

Thank you again to everyone who made this event so special. We had an amazing time and already can’t wait for next year! 💚🐾✨

☀️🐾 Robin’s official statement on today’s Making Strides for Strays walk:

“It is TOO HOT. I will continue supporting homeless pets… from the ground… directly next to my water bowl.” 💦😂

Huge love to ADOPT Pet Shelter today for all they do for animals in our community. We get to see firsthand how deeply their staff, volunteers, fosters, and supporters care — not just about finding homes, but about making sure animals feel safe, supported, and truly loved along the way. ❤️

Robin is one of countless dogs whose life changed because someone chose to care. Today we walk for all of them. 🐾
