Don't forget that our Furever Vets Central location offers Endoscopy! 🚨

🩺 What is endoscopy?
Endoscopy is a minimally invasive procedure used to examine
the internal organs or take tissue samples. A small, flexible tube with a camera (endoscope) is inserted into the body via natural openings like the mouth or re**um, or through small incisions, allowing the veterinarian to visualize the area without the need for traditional surgery.

🏥 What are the benefits of using endoscopy?
- Minimally invasive: This procedure uses natural openings, which reduces recovery time, pain, and complications.
- Less trauma: There’s less tissue damage compared to traditional surgery.
- Quick recovery: Pets often resume normal activity sooner with fewer restrictions.
- Improved diagnostics: Veterinarians can visualize internal organs in real-time, and take precise biopsies or samples with minimal risk.

🐾 What conditions are diagnosed or treated using endoscopy?
- Gastrointestinal issues: Identifying causes of vomiting, diarrhea, or foreign body ingestion.
- Respiratory problems: Investigating causes of chronic coughing, sneezing, or nasal discharge.
- Urinary tract conditions: Diagnosing issues in the bladder or urethra.
- Tissue biopsies: Collecting samples from the stomach, intestines, or lungs.

Did you know that today is World Rabies Day?
📍 In Florida, pets are required by law to have their rabies shot for the safety of the pet, humans, and other animals. There are tons of wildlife in Florida, such as raccoons, that can carry the disease and potentially spread it. Always be safe and protect your pet - book your appointment to vaccinate today!

Don't forget that our Central location offers laparoscopic spays! 🐶🐱

🏥 What is a laparoscopic spay?
A laparoscopic spay is a minimally invasive surgical procedure
used to remove a female pet’s ovaries. It differs from traditional spays by using small incisions and a camera (laparoscope) to guide the surgery, resulting in less tissue trauma.

🩺 How does a laparoscopic spay differ from a traditional spay? In a traditional spay, a larger incision is made in the abdomen to remove both the ovaries and uterus. In a laparoscopic spay, only small incisions are made, and usually, only the ovaries are removed. This reduces pain, recovery time, and risks associated with the procedure.

🐾 What are the benefits of a laparoscopic spay?
- Less post-operative pain: Smaller incisions mean less discomfort for your pet.
- Faster recovery: Pets typically recover quicker and can resume normal activities sooner.
- Reduced risk of complications: The precision of laparoscopic surgery lowers the risk of excessive bleeding and infection.
- Smaller scars: The smaller incisions leave minimal scarring.

🚨 Attention Forever Vets Family 🚨

After many years caring for pets in the St. Augustine community, Forever Vets Pet Resort at Pacetti will permanently close on Friday, September 11, 2026.

Forever Vets Pet Resort at Pacetti has always been more than just a boarding and daycare facility to our team. It's been full of the pets we've watched grow up, the tail wags at drop-off, the joyful reunions with their favorite playmates, and the little routines that made each stay feel like coming home. Getting to know you and your pets, and earning your trust with their care, has meant more than we can easily put into words. We will truly miss the familiar faces, the friendships made along the way, and the happy moments that filled our days, and we're so grateful you let us be part of them.

Although our Pacetti location is closing, your pet can continue receiving attentive boarding and daycare services at nearby Forever Vets locations, including Furever Vets Central Pet Resort. Their teams are already looking forward to welcoming you and your pet, and to providing the same compassionate care you've come to expect from the Forever Vets family.

🐾 Reason for the spotlight for this month: "Expanded growth in customer service while always being willing to help the team."

🐾 What is your favorite thing about coming to work?
Getting to connect with not only the animals but the owners as well!

🐾 Do you have any pets?
Yes! My pride and joys names are Luca and Ellie. Luca is a Jack Russel mix that is almost 2 years old and Ellie is a Pomsky that is almost 4 years old. They are my best friends and have severe separation anxiety.

🐾 Do you have any fun facts about yourself?
One big fun fact about me is that I am prior military, 4 years in the navy! And I actually taught Brazilian jujitsu to kids ages 7-17 for 5 years!

🐾 Why did you want to work in the vet field?
My mother is a vet tech and a groomer. I have been in the vet world my whole childhood and adult hood. My mom now owns her own business in New York and I want to continue to follow this route I’m on!
