Kermit from Land of Misfits Dog Rescue got adopted to this wonderful family who couldn't wait to pet, love and welcome him into their home! He doesn't seem to mind though. lol From being abandoned, alone, hungry and scared to THIS! Now that is a happy ending!

Not Pretty, But Practical! Land of Misfits Dog Rescue, (501)c3, is a non-profit dog rescue. The name says it all, "non-profit". Yes, we are on a budget. We looked at elevated stands for food bowls and had to swallow hard at the price and the fact that they were still not tall enough for the wide range of dogs coming through our rescue. We got 5-gallon containers, traced the food/water bowl size, (make it just a touch smaller than the edge of the bowl), cut out the circle and dropped in the bowls. If food or water is spilled, take out the bowls and clean it out. The green lid, also, can still be removed if necessary. They are light, movable, unbreakable, and washable. Elevating your dogs food and water bowls, especially larger dog breeds, can help them eat, swallow and therefore digest better. It also helps in preventing a "twisted gut". A very painful and hard to fix problem. Again, Not Pretty, But Practical!

Land of Misfits Dog Rescue, (501)c3 STILL has Nala. Nala has been with us for about 10 months! She is a Cattle Dog mix with special needs. She is partially blind and partially deaf, but her sense of smell and touch work very well. When she smells and feels you, she turns into a love bug! Nala is good with people, respectful kids, and dogs after an appropriate meet and greet. She loves going to Lowes and visiting friends! Land of Misfits Dog Rescue has news! Our Fergus was adopted by a wonderful lady! Christy lives in the mountains and wanted a walking, hiking, snuggling, playing, laughing and traveling with, best friend. See saw Fergus on Pet Finder. She said, "His eyes spoke to me." She fell in love! Who wouldn't? Fergus loves being with her, her #1 friend and best bud. Thank you Christy for adopting a rescue dog! Good Luck Fergus. You found your forever home!
