Not everything about owning and operating a kennel is puppy kisses. There’s lots of hard work that happens behind the scenes. Aside from taking calls to answer questions, taking reservations and scheduling intake and checkout times, there’s tons of yard and kennel maintenance that goes along with it! I’m happy to do it all because it’s a labor of love and I really take pride in the way everything looks! I’m always wanting everyone’s stay to be as healthy and fun as possible.

I had three separate videos to show you the three different steps I take when pressure washing but FB will only allow one video per post. Instead I used a video editor to stitch them together into one longer video. Sorry for the four minute video length but if you’re interested in a behind the scenes tour, here it is!

When my wife and I get to go on vacation, sometimes the dogs go with us and sometimes they go in the kennel. This time Bebe went with us because she’s our boat dog. Our Shepherd stayed inside the house to keep a watchful eye and Winston stayed in the kennel because he gets himself into too much trouble if left alone too long. We swore Bebe to silence and asked her to not tell the others where we went. Unlike so many of the dogs who stay with us and get 5 stars in all categories, you can see Winston does not do as well. 🤣🤣🤣

I’m not sure if we’ve officially hit what most would refer to as the “dog days of summer” but this quick video might shed some light on the answer.
This group clearly enjoys one another’s company and can frequently be seen running the yard as a pack during their break times! 😁

Ok, I’m going to date myself😁. As a six year old boy, I distinctly remember July 4th, 1976 and our Country’s 200th Birthday celebration. I remember the excitement, the food, the fellowship shared by friends and family, the fireworks and the lead up beforehand to plan the big day. I sincerely hope that as adults, your day today and this weekend is safe, relaxing and enjoyable. More notably for those who have children, I hope their day will be marked with awesome memories that they too will reflect on 50 years from now!

Oftentimes, members of our IronDog family reach out with a pic or quick text just to let us know how things are going. This family boards with us often an unfortunately lost their adult female lab “Meghan” maybe about six months ago. After taking a little time they brought a new puppy into their family. Meet “Claire” the black lab pup and “Fergus.” We will be looking forward to meeting Claire soon.

This has been a year for us where we have lost many clients who have crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. The decision on how soon to bring a new family member into your home after experiencing a loss is obviously very personal and everyone needs to make that decision for themselves. We too feel the loss of these dogs as we get to know them so well! We also enjoy the new relationships we get to make once decisions are made to get a new family member! 💙😁❤️
