I don't have nearly as many pictures of our final days of camp, but that's because we were just having so much fun! So many firsts were had at camp this year, and we are so proud of every last one of them. We took trailrides, the girls worked together to complete obsticle courses, they trotted, mounted from the ground with a leg up from their friends, cheered eachother on, and truly made camp the best month of the summer. We are so glad we could have these kids out, and we cannot wait for next year! Stay tuned for camp 2027!

Here are a few examples of the exercises and activities that go into making strong, capable riders: balancing things on their heads, hands, and feet, riding ba****ck, balancing on barrels and yoga balls, riding different kinds of horses (thanks again, Erin!), lots of groundwork, and so much more. The improvements these little riders showed in their time with us were something to be proud of. They all worked so hard, got outside of their comfort zones, and did amazing things. We can't wait to see what else they accomplish. ❤

The kids were hard at work... it isn't all fun and games at camp!

Who are we kidding? It's all fun! We took time every day for the kids to learn about horse care and maintenance, and they spent a significant amount of their time in our tack space, putting those skills into practice. We learned about the parts of tack, grooming, horse anatomy, bathing, saddle fitting, and how to stretch a horse (thank you, Erin!). They asked lots of questions, and we all learned a lot. It's so fun seeing what everyone takes a special interest in and how they help each other remember everything.

Whether it was while playing games, doing barn chores, crafts, or eating lunch, these kids exhibited exceptional teamwork. They worked through problems together, supporting each other and laughing along the way. We work really hard to show our campers that this is about more than just riding horses, and they really rose to the challenge!

These kids pushed themselves and each other, and learned so much! It was so fun seeing them try new things and make some memories. They were absolutely hilarious, and we loved having them!!

We have always loved the way the light streams into the arena, but it has looked a little different the past couple days. The wildfire smoke is causing the light to take on an orange glow, and under different circumstances it would be beautiful! Knowing what our Canadian neighbors are going through, and the air quality at home, makes it hard to appreciate. But it's a striking difference!

The horses are staying cozy and hydrated, and us humans are trying to find the beauty in the unknown.

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by these wildfires ❤️
