🚨 WHAT IS HAPPENING AT MARSHALL BIORESOURCES CANNOT BE IGNORED.

Disturbing new evidence alleges horrific abuse of dogs at Marshall BioResources in New York, the nation’s largest supplier of dogs used in laboratory experiments.

Our Run 2 The Rescue co-founder Bonnie Klapper, a former federal prosecutor who spent years prosecuting violent criminal organizations, working with a dedicated team of activists from The Simple Heart, took action where others have failed.

Bonnie drafted a criminal referral to Wayne County District Attorney Christine Callanan detailing evidence gathered from inspection records, photographs and whistleblower accounts. The referral calls for an immediate criminal investigation and for authorities to seize and protect dogs who may be facing continued suffering or death.

The allegations are heartbreaking. Dogs reportedly killed simply because of a kinked tail, unwanted eye color or normal protective behavior toward their puppies.

Dogs thrown against cage walls. Puppies reportedly died while desperately trying to stay warm.

And dogs allegedly subjected to terrifying and painful methods of euthanasia that witnesses described as prolonged and agonizing.

These animals have already spent their lives confined for experimentation. The very least they deserve is protection from cruelty.

Bonnie has spent her career standing up against powerful people who believed they were above the law. Now she is using that experience to stand up for dogs who have absolutely no voice of their own... and we are incredibly proud to stand beside her.

But legal action alone isn't enough. Public pressure matters.

Please contact Wayne County District Attorney Callanan at: [email protected] and Wayne County Sheriff Milby at [email protected]. and respectfully demand that these allegations be fully investigated and that every dog in danger be protected.

You can also support upcoming protests and the March to Abolish Animal Testing beginning September 12, which will bring advocates directly to Marshall's doorstep.

And if you are a current or former Marshall employee with information about animal cruelty, please consider coming forward. Whistleblowers can be one of the most powerful voices these dogs have.

We cannot change what happened to the dogs who have already suffered.

But together, we can fight for the ones who are still there.

🐾 Kronk’s Korner ✨ Words of Wisdom 🐾Today I want to introduce you to my "Krew" at home. ❤️

Mom’s passion for giving “different dogs” a second chance started 8 years ago with a three-legged dog meat trade survivor named Sunny. Since then, she’s had a special place in her heart for the dogs people sometimes pass over because they think their differences might be too much work.

Now, me and my 7 “different” brothers and sisters get to experience the one thing we’ve always wanted most... To be loved. To be safe. And to belong.

This world is filled with every walk of life. Maybe you’re missing a leg. Maybe your legs don’t work at all. Maybe your brain works a little differently. Meet Hunter. ❤️ Hunter was rescued from a slaughterhouse truck in East Asia. He and the other dogs packed onto that truck were being taken toward a horrific fate... but our team, alongside other rescuers, intercepted it in time. Every single dog was saved.

Hunter had survived the unthinkable, but his story wasn’t going to end there. After months of treatment, healing, and learning what it feels like to finally be safe, Hunter is now healthy and thriving at our shelter.

And he’s only 1 year old.

He has his whole life ahead of him... a lifetime that should be filled with soft beds, adventures, belly rubs, and the security of knowing he will never be hurt again.

❤️‍🩹 Watch this moment. ❤️ Mickey is taking his first steps unassisted.

After being rescued from a slaughterhouse, Mickey was diagnosed with Leishmaniasis, a devastating disease that has wreaked havoc on his little body. His road to recovery will take months of treatment, and the cost of his care is incredibly high.

But Mickey is fighting.

Through the pain, the weakness, and everything he has endured… his tail is still wagging. 🥹 He isn’t ready to give up... And neither are we.

Mickey is hurting, but he is still fighting. 💔 https://linktr.ee/R2TR This beautiful golden boy was rescued from slaughter and is suffering from leishmaniasis, a serious disease caused by the Leishmania parasite. In dogs, it can affect the skin, coat, eyes, weight, energy levels, and even internal organs. That is why Mickey looks so sick right now. His body has been fighting something much bigger than he should ever have had to face.

But leishmaniasis does not have to be the end of Mickey’s story. With months of consistent treatment, careful monitoring, medication, and supportive care, Mickey can improve, regain his strength, and go on to live a comfortable life. The problem is that getting him there will not be easy... or inexpensive. Mickey needs hospitalization now, followed by ongoing treatment and veterinary care for months to come.

And through all of this… look at that tail. It is still wagging. 🥺💛 He is not ready to give up. So we cannot give up on him either.

Meet Toffee 💔🐾 Toffee was found running the streets of Beijing alongside another larger poodle. They had been abandoned by their owner and left to fend for themselves... where they were at very real risk of being picked up by a butcher.

Thankfully, the two found a foster home together. But now, the foster only wants to keep the larger poodle... leaving little Toffee with nowhere to go. 💔

We never say no to any dog.

Toffee will be coming to our Run 2 The Rescue shelter in Beijing, where he will receive the medical care he needs, be kept safe and loved, and begin preparing for the next chapter of his life. Toffee is scared right now, and rightfully so after everything he has been through. But our promise to him is to give him a happy future that will make up for all of the bad that happened in is past.

Soon, this sweet little boy who was once unwanted and abandoned will be ready for something he should have had all along... A forever loving family who are committed to loving him always ❤️
