our seasonal reminder to appreciate electricity is hopefully over 😅
The rain has stopped, too, Luna is happy to have her sand bed back (it flooded the last couple days) but unfortunately the humidity has amped up,
personally, id take the slightly cooler rainy weather over this humidity, but clearly I get no say in the weather or itd be crisp 70s all year round!

Tomorrow we have $700 in hay arriving, our support is SO low we are not even covering our normal bills, so in all honesty, ive had to make the realistic decision to put a friend for Luna on the back burner, until we can hopefully get back to making ends meet for the residents we have 💔

Day 3 of no electricity, and this year whenever the electricity goes out, so does all my cell service, so I cant post or respond to messages anywhere (I went into town to use wifi to check them and post this now)
Ive been up all night making sure everyone stays cool in this humidity without power

its been raining and storming heavy all week, our fields have more water than they ever have, but luckily sitting atop cenotes so it will drain soon

Please excuse the Social Media updates while I cant communicate!

Even when not online, our expenses are hitting daily, maybe even more in these days with the extra shavings to keep everyone dry and comfy 🙏🏻

​Meet Isis.
Like the ancient goddess she’s named after, she expects to rule her kingdom entirely alone.

​Isis isn’t a needy cat. She doesn’t care about being the center of attention, and she definitely isn’t going to smother you for love. She is a spicy, independent lady who is perfectly happy just coexisting near you on her own terms.
​But she does have one major rule: No other cats. She absolutely hates them and wants to be the only feline under your roof.

​Isis's Guide to Success:
🐱No aggressive cuddling: She doesn't want to be picked up, squeezed, or held.
🐱Head pets only: If you're lucky, she’ll allow a few gentle pets strictly on her head. Touch the rest of her? That's a sassy swipe waiting to happen! (though she doesnt use her claws 🙏🏻)
🐱String toys are life: While she isn't a lap cat, she loves playing with string toys with you! Once she settles in, her fun, playful side completely comes alive.

​If you are looking for a low maintenance companion who wants to live in a strictly single cat household (shes ok with dogs), hang out nearby, and destroy a string toy with you, Isis might just be your perfect match!

We have 10 other cats so our sanctuary is not the right fit for her, she needs a cat free home 🙏🏻

its hard to tell, do we think Regan enjoyed yer day outside of quarantine and back in her mud wallow? 🐽

🐷She is truly the most "go with the flow" pig! She was happy before quarantine, she was happy in quarantine and now shes happy out of quarantine 🩷 she truly decides to enjoy life no matter the sanctuary circumstances 🐷🐷
I think we could all learn a little from her!

We wont get her cheaper meds until the beginning of Decenber, so I just spent $65 on the next 10 days worth, and I will be spending about $150 on the years worth this week!

If youre able to, please consider donating to her ongoing care costs, every dollar makes a difference and makes it so we are able to help these medical cases 🩷🐷

Regan is officially out of quarantine 🙏🏻🙏🏻🩷🐷
For half the day at least, her scars are still fresh and due to her skin cancer, im limiting time in the sun, but shes out and about and loving it!

🐷She is truly the most "go with the flow" pig! She was happy before quarantine, she was happy in quarantine and now shes happy out of quarantine 🩷 she truly decides to enjoy life no matter the sanctuary circumstances 🐷🐷
