Madison is a Gordon Setter!
The Gordon Setter originated from Scotland in 1620; they are the largest of the spaniels. Originally these setters were called the black and tan setters. Around 200 years later the breed was renamed after Alexander the fourth Duke of Gordon due to the high amount of these dogs in his kennel, becoming the castle Gordon Setter. After Alexander the fourth Duke of Gordon had passed away in 1827, his heir had taken over his kennel. Then in 1924 the dogs had gotten their final breed name of the Gordon Setter. These dogs throughout the years have excelled in endurance on land or in the water to retrieve fallen birds.
