These darling 🥔 potatoes couldn’t be any cuter even if they tried! I’m already loving my time with our 🥔🧡 so much. They’re 1 week old today and I feel like time is already fleeting. 🥹 These babies are PROFESSIONAL milk guzzlers! 🍼🥛 They’re regulars at mama Rellie’s milkbar. Her yummy nutrition helped them reach their 10-day goal of doubling their birth weight in only 5 days! {📸 from left to right: Yam, Tater} ☀️❤️

This boy!! 💙💙 This is Rocket (Frosty from Avalon and Gavin’s Freezin’ Season litter}. Rocket’s family is IN LOVE with him. 🥰 His mom has told me more than once that Rocket is her “best friend.” Those are her exact words! 🥹 That’s what we do at SHD…complete families with the addition of a fluffy best friend (or two)! Who else needs a best friend???? ☀️❤️

We are EXHAUSTED!! The 🏞️💛 babies had a busy day with a great vet visit with our doc. They took their first vaccine and microchip implantation like champs. They were all wonderful for their exams and everyone is healthy! 🥰 I’ll be adding the SOAP notes from the exams to the family folder tonight and then I’ll add the parasitology report as soon as the results are back tomorrow. There wasn’t a peep from the baby bops on the car ride home. Everyone slept soundly for the whole drive. 🥹🚗 Seriously…these pups are soooo dreamy! ☀️❤️

I’m overjoyed to announce the individual names of our Best Spuds puppies! 🥔🧡 On the left, we have sweet Yam (boy) and on the right, we have darling Tater (girl). 💙🩷 They’re 5 days old today and have spent every minute of their precious lives so far bonding with their amazing mama. Rellie absolutely adores her babies and is such a doting mom! She doesn’t like being apart from them, even to potty outside. Once she’s finished her business, she races as fast as she can back inside to return to her little miracles. 🥹 Our 🥔🧡 mini Australian Labradoodle puppies are perfect and I can’t wait to watch them grow. ☀️❤️

If I had a Sunny Heart Award to give out, I’d give it to Ellis (Ellis Hayzel) and her mom. 🏆🏅 Ever since Ellis went home, she and her mom have been sending me litter-themed gifts for Every. Single. Puppy. born at SHD. 🎁 Recent families, the theme gifts in your Go Home Bags are from them. 🥹 Although sooo generous and completely unnecessary, I love receiving the packages because 1) the notes included in the packages from my Ellis Trellis are adorable and 2) the sweet sentiments behind the gifts are precious. A few days ago, Ellis’s mom texted me asking if mama Sedona was back home. I was busy at the time and my brain was frazzled so I quickly answered “yes” and didn’t ask why she wanted to know. Lo and behold, these gifts for mama Sedona and auntie Jordy (tailsofjordyandsedona) arrived on their doorstep last night. Ellis and mom, you have the SUNNIEST HEARTS. Thank you!…this was so sweet of you! 🥰 I really do need a Sunny Heart Award for the ☀️❤️ spirit with which you shine! Your generosity and celebratory nature glow! Ellis, keep an eye on YOUR 📪📦 mailbox. You should be receiving an otter-ly adorable gift of your own soon! ☀️❤️

There is SO much to do! 😅 In this final week with the 🏞️💛 puppies, I have to submit the litter info to my vet in preparation for their exams. I promised daddy Gavin’s human siblings (and parents) that they can meet the pups so we’re working on that! My helper did her part with Go Home Bags today but I still have to do my piece with preparing the Go Home Folders. That part is especially time consuming! We have our vet visit and match calls. We have baths, blowouts, mini grooms and the pups’ final portraits. We have our last week of regular curriculum activities, focusing on goals related to confidence building, overhead awareness and problem solving. There NEVER seems to be enough time with my lovely babies! ☀️❤️

I’m absolutely giddy to share our newest litter theme, the Sunny Heart Doodles “Best Spuds” 🥔🧡 litter! Rellie and Gavin’s duo of baby besties are the cutest little spuds in the patch! They’re packing on the weight like little potatoes and already have the most perfectly round, roly-poly bellies. Rellie’s puppies tend to be robust, potato-shaped baby bops, so this theme has actually been in the works since her very first litter, whose chunky little babies I regularly called my “sweet potatoes.” 🥹🥔 Now our newest crop of tiny home fries is here and they couldn’t be more delicious! I can’t wait to share all of their milestones as these little spuds continue to sprout over the upcoming weeks! ☀️❤️

I can’t wait to announce the theme of Rellie’s litter!! Stay tuned…☀️❤️
