Rescue Memo 06/18/2026 - Ahoy, rescue heroes! Little Jolly Roger is a tiny pup with a big heart who is searching for his forever crew. When an animal services officer found him and brought him to the shelter, this little guy was very scared and unsure of his surroundings. With time and gentle care, he has started to warm up and show his sweet side. Jolly Roger is currently housed with other small dogs and has had no reported concerns with his canine roommates. He does have dental disease and will need significant dental care, and he is also currently being treated for kennel cough. This little pirate is hoping a rescue will give him the medical support, patience, and love he needs to get back on course. He’s ready to sail toward a brighter future with a caring rescue by his side!

Rescue Memo 06/16/2026 - Chip is a very scared little Pomeranian mix who needs a patient rescue hero to help him feel safe and learn to trust again! When he arrived at the shelter, he was extremely fearful, hiding under beds and growling when overwhelmed. With time and gentle support, Chip has slowly started building trust with one of his volunteers. He is housed with other small dogs and typically keeps to himself, but has shown no aggression toward his doggy roommates. Chip needs a calm, stable placement where he can decompress, feel secure, and continue gaining confidence at his own pace. Rescue Memo 06/18/2026 - ***SENIOR JOSEY !!!*** Sweet as candy, senior gal Josey is hoping a rescue hero will open their heart and give her the comfort and care she deserves in her final chapter! Josey was surrendered by her person when they could no longer provide the care she needed, and she arrived in need of extra love and medical support. Josey is a very friendly girl with people and loves connecting with her human friends. She is very thin and has moderate dermatitis with alopecia (likely due to flea allergy), elbow calluses, and multiple skin tags. Despite everything she has been through, this gentle girl continues to show what a loving old soul she is. She has done well with other calm, social dogs in playgroups and is ready for a peaceful place to land. Josey doesn’t have much time and is hoping for a miracle. 🆘 URGENTLY need placement by Wednesday 6/24/26 @ 5pm!!🆘

Sedona (A921191) is a beautiful 9-year-old German Shepherd with a gentle, affectionate spirit and a heart that still has so much love to give. This sweet senior girl was found out loose and very scared, unsure of the world around her. Thanks to the compassion of a local human trapper, Sedona was safely secured and brought to the shelter, where she quickly began to show her true colors. Once she felt safe, everyone got to see the loving, tender girl hiding behind her fear. There is something truly special about senior dogs — they carry a lifetime of loyalty, wisdom, and unconditional love. Sedona is hoping for a rescue partner who will give her the chance to leave shelter life behind and spend her golden years surrounded by comfort, patience, and care. She deserves a soft place to land and a person who will appreciate the wonderful companion she is.

Sedona does have a large mass and is looking for a rescue that can provide the medical attention and support she needs while helping her enjoy the peaceful retirement she deserves. Despite everything she has been through, her sweet and calm nature continues to shine. She is social with other dogs and enjoys gentle, low-key playgroup sessions where she can simply relax and be herself. Sedona is the kind of dog who reminds us that every life matters, no matter their age. Her quiet affection, kind heart, and loving presence make her incredibly special. ⚾ Jasper (A896485) is ready to find his MVP team! This sleek young, neutered black Labrador is looking for a someone who can help him continue building confidence and become the best companion he can be. Jasper was adopted as a puppy and was surrendered when his family felt they could no longer support some of his behavioral needs. His family noted that Jasper had concerning reactions around children who were not part of his family. When Jasper arrived at the shelter, he showed some stranger sensitivity and possible guarding behaviors toward his previous owner. When he first arrived at the shelter, he was timid and unsure, but it didn’t take long for his playful personality to shine through. A good game of fetch helped Jasper discover his happy place, and now this joyful boy lights up when he sees a ball! He loves running, retrieving, and sharing playtime with his favorite people. Once Jasper trusts you, he is an incredibly lovable and loyal companion. Jasper has also made doggie friends and regularly participates in playgroups, where the company of friendly dogs helps him relax and brings out his playful, goofy side. Jasper is looking for someone who understands that confidence is built through patience, structure, and support.
