There’s something special about our senior pups!

The gray faces, slower steps, and funny little personalities make these old-timers some of our favorite dogs to groom!

As our four-legged friends get older, grooming can become a little more challenging. Achy joints, tired legs, and sensitive skin mean they sometimes need a little extra patience and TLC.

At Bigfoot Pet Mobile Grooming, we believe in working with our senior pups, not against them. Whether that means taking extra breaks, offering additional support, or choosing comfort over a picture-perfect haircut, their well-being always comes first.

They may be getting older, but they’re still puppies at heart! And after a lifetime of unconditional love, they deserve a little extra love in return.

Have a senior pup at home? Tell us their name and age!

Hey Bigfoot family,

We’ll be heading out of town for my Nana’s funeral and taking some time to be with family and say goodbye. While we’re away, we won’t be answering calls, texts, emails, or messages here on social media.

You’re still welcome to leave us a message, and we’ll get back to you once we’re home and getting back into the swing of things. Just give us a little grace as we catch up.

Thank you for being patient with us and for all the kindness and prayers you’ve shown our family. It’s been a tough few weeks, and we appreciate you more than you know.

A little TLC goes a long way!

This Wednesday, we wanted to give a special shoutout to our friends over at Sunshine Acres Animal Sanctuary!

We had the opportunity to lend a helping hand by trimming some nails, cleaning out a few ears, and giving some of their four-legged residents a little extra love and attention!

Sometimes it’s the little things that make a big difference, and we’re always happy to put our grooming skills to good use for animals who need it.

A huge thank you to the folks at Sunshine Acres for everything they do for these animals. We’re grateful we could play a small part in helping care for them!

Because every animal deserves a little love, a little patience, and a helping hand!

You win some. You lose some. And sometimes you just have to own it.

Yesterday we groomed this little man, and today his owner reached out to let us know they weren’t completely happy with the result. He was shorter than expected, a little uncomfortable, and apparently their daughter thought they brought home a different dog.

I can laugh at that last part, but I take the rest seriously.

He came in with several small knots and mats that were unfortunately tight against the skin. I explained that brushing them out wasn’t really an option, we’d have to go shorter, and that he would probably be a little tender afterward. When I brought him back, I asked what she thought and at the time everything seemed okay.

That said, I’m human, and this wasn’t my best groom. The matting explains why he had to go short, but looking back, there are things I would’ve done differently and areas I could’ve finished better.

It’s easy for a business to only show the home runs. But sometimes you miss the mark. At the end of the day, we’re human. Sometimes we knock it out of the park, sometimes we miss the mark. All we can do is own it, learn from it, and try to do better on the next one
