Announcement: Lpc king shepherd is a member of the King shepherd club of America Association. ( KCOFA)
We in past have used both registries for litter and individual registrations.
KSCOA is the largest King Shepherd Club and association ( founded by Heidi Rowland, and Linda Cook) this next to the founder.
as a member it has been decided to continue to promote, advocate and support all moving components with in the club, and association including but not limited to: code of ethics, policy, rules and regulations, pedigrees, database, and registry.
Its been the Associations commitment and promise in the continued development of the King Shepherds, for its members, breeders .
Important health standards, and min 3 generation pedigree are reviewed and approved for litter registration for members/breeders providing all criteria’s are met and provided.
This will ensure proper protocols breeding are met to receive Registration for our pups.
The Club is the most recognized internationally of breeding the Kings. The Club has decided to suspend supporting ARBA ( American Rare Breed Association) as of late they have lacked the same important measures, poor correspondence, accountability, and same commitment as KSCOA association.
ARBA was founded in 1991 , the King was then officially recognized as a Rare Breed secondary the founder.
We have all been experiencing on going challenges as of late working with ARBA , as a result its been very challenging as of late for all breeders ( including other breeds who are also registered and recognized as Rare breeds)
The decision to drop ARBA for a secondary association for registration for members litters has been pondered by KSCOA for sometime.
the lack of presence, communication , etc has hindered the club and its breeders that no longer matches the KSCOA gold seal standard.
What this means to you: single individual registration provided vs the past optional dual registration.
Commitment to our breeding standards remain the same. Health , temperament remain our priority along with developing beautiful And remarkable King shepherds.
