When it takes a Nor’easter to get us to the dog park 🌧️😂
I’m not a big fan of dog parks anymore. There is just way too much going on and way too much to observe and manage — especially with two dogs. Buddy was always okay, but besides being excited to greet the dogs, he never really cared much about actually playing with them.
And over the years I’ve seen it all. People throwing their dogs into the park and letting them do whatever they want, people not paying attention at all, strangers feeding your dog without asking, kids running up trying to hug your dogs… and of course the occasional “I’ve had German Shepherds for 30 years” person. 😂 Btw, that doesn’t mean anything.🙄
So long story short, dog parks haven’t really been our thing.
BUT today, while we were getting some of the Nor’easter here in PA, I had an idea: What better time to try the dog park than during a storm when hopefully nobody else is crazy enough to be there? 😂
And that’s how Penny got to experience a dog park for the very first time.
She LOVED it. She ran around and explored everything, used the dog walk, raced around at lightning speed, played with her balls, chased the Buds and just had the best time.
And she even made a new friend. 🥹 A friendly little dog about Buddy’s size stopped by and Penny immediately fell in love.
I have to say, we had a great time.
I might actually become a dog park person again… but only during Nor’easters when nobody else is there. 😂🌧️🐾
