Avoid Emergency visits this holiday with these pet safety reminders

Easter is right around the corner 🐰🌷
With bright colors, baskets, and sweet treats everywhere, it’s a fun holiday, but a few common items can be risky for curious pets.

Here are some Easter favorites to keep out of paws’ reach:

🍫 Chocolate & candy – Toxic for both dogs and cats
🥚 Eggs left outdoors – Colorful “finds” can look like toys, and real eggs left behind can cause stomach upset
🍃 Artificial basket grass – Can get stuck in the intestinal tract; paper filler or real grass are safer options
🧸 Small toys – Cute, but easy choking hazards

If your pet gets into something they shouldn’t, call CVES at 931-551-2121 right away. 🐾
