UPDATE: WE FOUND HIM! HIS NOSE GOT HIM INTO TROUBLE AND HE FOUND HIMSELF IN THE WOODS BEHIND THE DUMP. WHEN WE LOCATED HIM HE WAS VERY PROUD OF THE HOLE HE FOUND AND WAS DISAPPOINTED WHEN WE DIDNT INVESTIGATE ITS INHABITANTS. HE IS NOW BACK AT THE SHELTER WITH A BOWL OF COLD WATER!

🚨 URGENT: SHORTY IS MISSING! 🚨

Our 5-year-old Coonhound, Shorty, is missing from the Rushville Animal Shelter.
Staff last saw Shorty at approximately 11:45 AM, but just 30 minutes later, he was gone from his kennel. Unfortunately, our cameras did not capture how he escaped.

PLEASE KEEP AN EYE OUT FOR SHORTY! 🐾

❤️ He is VERY friendly and is microchipped.

If you see him:
- Please report sightings in the comments with the location and direction he was headed.
- If you are able to safely get ahold of him, please keep him with you until we can come get him.
- During business hours, call Rushville Animal Shelter: 765-932-4754
- After hours, call Rushville Police Department and let them know you have found Shorty.

Please SHARE this post far and wide. The more eyes looking for Shorty, the better our chances of getting him safely home. 🙏🐶

UPDATE: ROXY IS ON AN EXTENDED HOME TRIAL!

🖤 WE NEED YOUR HELP FINDING ROXY’S PERSON 🖤

Roxy is ready. She just needs someone to notice her. 🐾

This beautiful 3-year-old, 40-pound spayed Lab mix has SO much personality packed into one goofy, affectionate girl.

🌊 She’s a professional snorkeler.
🎾 She loves to play.
🦴 She loves a good bone.
🍗 She is VERY passionate about food.
❤️ And when the fun is over, she loves attention and cuddles.

Roxy is most comfortable enjoying life outdoors and would love a home where she can have plenty of outdoor time, adventure, and room to be her happy, silly self.

She can be a little bossy with other dogs, so a meet-and-greet is important to see if everyone's personalities are a match.

But here's the thing…

Somewhere out there is someone who is going to look at Roxy and say, “THAT'S MY DOG.” 🥹🖤

We just need your help finding them.

📣 WATCH HER REEL. SHARE IT. TAG SOMEONE.

Maybe Roxy's person isn't following our page.

Maybe they're your friend.
Maybe they're your neighbor.
Maybe they're the person who has been saying, “One day, I'm going to adopt a Lab…”

Let's get Roxy in front of as many people as possible. 🐾

👇 TAG someone who needs a Roxy in their life!

📣 ROXY HAS SOMETHING TO SAY…

And judging by those paws, she REALLY wants you to listen. 😂🐾

“I may not be able to talk… but my paws say a LOT!” 🐾❤️

Roxy is a 3-year-old, 40-pound spayed Lab mix with a BIG personality and an even bigger heart.

She'd like you to know that she loves:
🤿 Snorkeling
🎾 Playing fetch
🦴 Chewing on a good bone
🍗 FOOD. Lots and lots of food.
❤️ Attention, affection & cuddles
🌳 Outdoor adventures

She's happiest when she has room to enjoy the outdoors and would love a family who enjoys an active lifestyle and wants a fun-loving adventure buddy.

And apparently… belly rubs are also an acceptable form of communication. 😂

So, Roxy has a question:

Are you listening? 👀🐾

If you're looking for a playful, affectionate girl with a goofy personality and a serious love of adventure, come meet Roxy!

And if Roxy isn't your girl, SHARE this post — her person may be scrolling past your feed right now. 🖤
