Sometimes gradual weight gain is hard to notice when you see your pet every day.

A healthy body condition involves more than the number on the scale. Your veterinarian can evaluate your pet's ribs, waist, body shape, muscle condition, age, and lifestyle to determine an appropriate weight range.

Wondering where your pet falls? Call (830) 239-4567 to schedule a wellness visit.

Dogs don't always show stress by barking or trying to escape. Their signals can be much more subtle.

Repeated yawning, lip licking, turning away, trembling, tucked tails, flattened ears, or suddenly refusing treats may all be ways your dog is communicating discomfort.

Learning to recognize those early signals allows us to make experiences more comfortable. Have concerns about your dog's behavior or anxiety? Call (830) 239-4567.

Pets can't tell us when something feels different, and some illnesses don't cause noticeable symptoms until they've progressed.

Routine bloodwork gives your veterinarian valuable information about organ function, blood cells, blood sugar, electrolytes, and other health indicators. Establishing normal baseline values can also make future changes easier to recognize.

Ask whether early detection testing is appropriate for your pet. Call (830) 239-4567.

Dogs communicate constantly through body language. Tail position, ears, posture, facial expressions, vocalizations, and even how they move can give us clues about whether they’re relaxed, excited, nervous, or uncomfortable. Learning to recognize those signals can help you better understand your dog. Questions about a behavior change? Call (830) 239-4567.

Healthy portions can be surprisingly easy to underestimate. Measuring meals, accounting for treats, and regularly monitoring your pet's body condition can make a big difference over time.

If your pet needs to gain or lose weight, avoid making drastic dietary changes without veterinary guidance. We can help determine an appropriate calorie intake based on their individual needs.

Call (830) 239-4567 for help developing a healthy weight plan.

🐝🕷️🐞 Learning About God’s Amazing Creation! 🌿

This week, our students are learning about bees, insects, arachnids, and their habitats—and we’re connecting our science lessons back to God’s Word!

God created every tiny creature with a purpose and provides what they need to live. As we observe bees collecting nectar, spiders building webs, and insects making their homes, we’re reminded of Jesus’ words:

📖 “Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them.” — Matthew 6:26

If God cares for the creatures He created, how much more can we trust Him to care for us! ❤️

What a beautiful reminder that even the smallest parts of creation point us back to our big and faithful God! 🙏

Dogs form strong social bonds with the people they trust, which is part of what makes the human dog relationship so special. Following you from room to room, greeting you excitedly, or simply wanting to rest nearby can all be ways your dog shows attachment. Have questions about your dog’s behavior? Call us at (830) 239-4567.

📚❤️ We had an amazing time at the Runge Public Library!

Our students toured the library, learned how to find books, and checked out some great stories! We’re so thankful for opportunities like this that help foster a lifelong love of reading. 📖✨

A huge thank you to the Runge Public Library and Ms. Alesha for your generous hospitality! We’re grateful for our wonderful community! 💙💛❤️

Playtime, scratching opportunities, clean litter boxes, appropriate nutrition, dental care, and routine veterinary visits all contribute to a healthy life. Team cat, team dog, or team both? Dental disease can be painful long before a pet shows obvious signs of discomfort. Bad breath, red gums, difficulty chewing, dropping food, or avoiding harder foods can all signal a problem.

Regular dental exams and at-home care can help protect your pet's teeth and gums throughout their life.

Have questions about your pet's dental health? Call (830) 239-4567.
