Major ❤️

I met Major in 2021, and from the beginning he was impossible not to love. He opened doors and cabinets like he owned the house, stole food whenever he had the chance, and somehow still managed to be the gentlest and sweetest soul imaginable.

Every walk with him felt peaceful. Every overnight felt comforting. Being around him never felt like work.

Major had this incredible way of knowing when someone needed comfort. On some of my hardest days, he would quietly come lay next to me or rest his head on me like he understood everything without a word being said. He brought a kind of calm that’s hard to explain unless you knew him.

He was also so unbelievably gentle with Winnie. Watching the two of them together always made me smile. He had such a soft, loving heart.

Over the years, Major became so much more than a dog I cared for. He became part of my life, part of my routine, and part of my heart.

Saying goodbye to him yesterday was one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. I’m just incredibly grateful I got to know him, love him, and be loved by him in return.

I’ll miss you forever, buddy. 🤍
