Heading to Southwest Veterinary Symposium next month? 🤠 Make Booth #1229 a stop on your list. We’re bringing something you can actually get your hands on.

This year, it's a live demo of SagePlatt-Form (www.sageplattform.com), our clinical decision-support app for neurology cases. Walk up, put a real case into it, and see the five-step workflow work in front of you: differentials, imaging recommendations, the whole thing, in the time it takes to talk it through.

You'll also get face time with both SVI founders:
⭐ Jaime E. Sage, DVM, MS, DACVR
Founder, CEO & Chief Radiologist
⭐ James Collins
Founder & President

And yes, there will be gifts (we know you love the swag)! 🎁

📅 September 17-20, 2026

Happy National Dog Day to all of the wonderful dogs who make our lives so much brighter. 🐾💙 Every dog who comes through our doors is somebody's best friend, adventure buddy, and whole world. That’s why every image, every report, and every turnaround matters. We know that behind every case is a family waiting for answers, and a pup who just wants to feel better.

When a case comes to us for imaging, it's never a handoff. It's a partnership, with our referring DVMs at the center of care.

Our job is to give the clearest possible picture and get it back to you quickly, so you can keep doing what you do best: caring for the pet and the family who trusts you.

This month, we're grateful to three Round Rock-area clinics who partner with us that way regularly:

Austin VROC (Veterinary Regional Orthopedic Center)
Central Texas Veterinary Specialty & Emergency Hospital (CTVSEH)
Crestview Veterinary Clinic

Thank you for keeping us in the loop and letting us support the care you lead. Grateful for the partnership, and for the patients we get to care for together. 💙

When your dog suddenly isn't okay, we know every minute you spend not knowing is the hardest part.

Anya, a Black Russian Terrier, started throwing up out of nowhere, and that scary, uncertain feeling sent her owner, Amanda, straight to the ER. Radiographs hinted at a blockage, but it was an ultrasound that found the real answer: a piece of fabric Anya had swallowed.

The moment the scan was done, Dr. Sage got on the phone with Amanda and Anya's vet. No waiting, no wondering. By that same afternoon, Anya was already having it safely removed at MedVet Austin.

Fast answers and a quick path to treatment. And one very good girl back home where she belongs. 🐾

We're going to San Antonio! 🤠 📅 September 17-20 · Southwest Veterinary Symposium 2026 · Booth #1229

And we want to see you there.

Here's the deal: bring your hardest imaging case to us The scan that didn't add up, the one you're still second-guessing, the "is this actually nothing?" That's exactly the conversation we live for. Bring it to Booth #1229 and let's dig in.

We'll show you how SagePlatt-Form (https://sageplattform.com/) turns those questions into a fast, board-certified read right in the exam room. You can submit studies, message the radiologist, and get answers back without the phone tag. Plus live demos and prize giveaways!

You'll also get face time with the people behind the reports:

Happy International Cat Day to all of the curious, clever, and courageous cats who keep us guessing. 🐈💙

Cats are famously good at hiding how they really feel, especially when something's wrong. A purr can mask a lot. That's why, when a physical exam can only tell us so much, advanced imaging helps us see the whole picture and catch what our feline friends would rather keep to themselves.

We may see more dogs come through our doors, but every cat who does holds a special place with us. Here's to keeping them healthy, and keeping up with their secrets. 🐾

No one wants to hear that something may be wrong with their dog's heart.

When Lucy's routine pre-dental visit uncovered a concern, her owner, Indy, suddenly had questions no pet parent expects.

Through our Houston-based mobile echocardiography service, Lucy received the care she needed. Within 24 hours, Indy and her veterinarian had answers and a treatment plan to move forward.

As her owner, Indy, shared:

"Within 24 hours, I received a phone call about my dog's heart condition, and a treatment was suggested and sent to my vet. The speed of receiving the results is one of the many reasons I will definitely tell my friends about Sage Veterinary."

Knowing families have answers and a plan when they need them most is why we do what we do.

One of the most valuable things a radiologist can say is: “This case may not need imaging.”

Not every patient benefits from another scan, and not every abnormality changes management.

Sometimes the better next steps are:
💡The patient whose history already tells you what you need
💡The "incidentaloma" that doesn't change management
💡The case where the next clinical step matters more than the next imaging step
💡Repeat imaging on a stable patient with no change in trajectory
💡Imaging done to satisfy uncertainty rather than answer a question

Good imaging doesn't always mean more studies. But is is always about knowing when imaging will truly improve patient care.

That’s why some of the most important conversations happen before the scan is ever scheduled.

It's National Dog Photography Day, and we couldn't resist. 🐶📸
These are just a few of the sweet faces that pass through our doors. Wagging tails, soulful eyes, and the occasional attempt to eat the equipment. We love every one of them.
Behind every image is a good dog getting the answers they need. And honestly? Getting to hang out with them is the best part of the job.

Summer has a way of changing the pace inside veterinary clinics.

The schedule fills faster, emergency add-ons become more common, and the cases coming through the door often carry more urgency than usual.

By July, we start seeing more:
🐾 GDV cases presenting late at night
🐾 Sudden collapse episodes requiring rapid imaging decisions
🐾 Heatstroke patients with evolving thoracic and abdominal concerns
🐾 Foreign body obstructions tied to summer routine changes
🐾 Tick-borne disease cases where imaging helps guide next steps

These are the moments where fast imaging access and clear communication matter most.

At Sage Veterinary Imaging, we built our team to support urgent workflows with:

✔ Rapid STAT interpretation
✔ Direct radiologist collaboration
✔ Reports focused on clinical decision-making
✔ Support for complex after-hours cases

Summer emergencies move quickly. Having the right imaging support can help cases move forward with more clarity and confidence.

So today we're sharing how imaging helped guide diagnosis and treatment in a recent emergency case: https://vist.ly/5bxtz

This radiographic case review of a young cat highlights the classic signs of linear foreign body obstruction, from plicated intestines to beaded gas patterns.
