Success Story: Nacho’s Journey Back to Happiness 🐾

Meet Nacho, a 6-year-old Great Pyrenees who was referred to us in June 2025 for severe infection, a**l gland disease, and peria**l fistulas. What followed was one of the most challenging cases we’ve managed.

Over the course of nearly two years, we pursued countless diagnostics—including multiple cultures, biopsies, rechecks, and treatment adjustments. There were frustrating setbacks, inconclusive results, and rounds of antibiotics that simply weren’t targeting the true culprit. Through it all, Nacho’s family never gave up.

Their commitment, patience, and trust allowed us to keep digging for answers. Together, we continued with diagnostics, topical therapies, and treatment plans until we finally identified the underlying cause: Actinomyces.

Today, after four months on the correct antibiotic therapy, Nacho’s infection has cleared, his comfort has returned, and he’s finally back to being himself.

Perhaps one of the most rewarding parts of this journey is seeing the transformation in Nacho. He came to us painful, uncomfortable, and understandably not thrilled to see the veterinary team. Now? He’s all tail wags, happy visits, and smiles.

Cases like this remind us why we do what we do. Sometimes the answer isn’t obvious. Sometimes it takes persistence, teamwork, and a family willing to stay the course. Seeing Nacho healthy, happy, and thriving again makes every challenge worth it.

Thank you to Nacho’s amazing family for trusting us every step of the way. ❤️

Happy Receptionist Appreciation Week to the real MVPs of the clinic 💛

You are the first voice our clients hear, the calm in the chaos, the masters of multitasking, and the reason our days run as smoothly as they do.

From juggling phones, scheduling the impossible, handling ALL the questions, and somehow still managing to smile and make connections with every single person—you truly make a difference.

We don’t say it enough, but we see you, we appreciate you, and honestly… we’d be completely lost without you.

Thank you for everything you do—this place wouldn’t be the same without you!

Healthy ears shouldn’t itch. Persistent scratching, rubbing, or head shaking can signal allergic ear disease, organism overgrowth, or infection. Left untreated, irritation can worsen and become painful. Monitoring changes early and seeking veterinary care can make a big difference in long-term ear health.
