💚 An Update on Robin 💚

Many of you have been asking about Robin and wondering where she's been, so we wanted to share a quick update.

As some of you may know, Robin was recently involved in a side-by-side accident and sustained some serious injuries. While she has a long road to recovery ahead of her, she is making steady progress and her spirits remain high. She's a fighter, and we know she'll continue to get stronger every day.

At this time, we're unsure when she'll be able to return to the clinic, but please know she is receiving the care she needs and is focusing on healing.

Robin is a beloved part of our Country Club Animal Hospital family, and her absence is felt every single day—by our team and by the many clients and patients whose lives she has touched. We miss her tremendously and look forward to the day we can welcome her back.

We know your kind words and support mean the world to her. Please continue to keep Robin in your thoughts and prayers as she works toward a full recovery.

Please note that our clinic will be closing early at 12:00 PM on Friday, July 3rd in observance of the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

If your pet needs medication refills, food, or any non-emergency care, we encourage you to reach out ahead of time so we can help before the holiday.

🎆 **Fourth of July Pet Safety Reminder** 🐾❤️

The **Fourth of July** can be one of the most stressful times of year for our pets. Loud fireworks, gatherings, and changes in routine can cause anxiety and increase the risk of pets escaping.

A few ways to help keep your pets safe:

🎇 Keep pets indoors during fireworks
🎇 Create a quiet, comfortable “safe space” at home
🎇 Make sure collars, ID tags, and microchip information are up to date
🎇 Avoid bringing pets to fireworks events
🎇 Keep doors and gates secure during gatherings
🎇 Offer enrichment, calming music, or distractions

💊 **If your pet has a history of anxiety, noise sensitivity, or difficulty during fireworks, now is the time to reach out.** If medication may be needed to help keep your pet comfortable, please contact us **before the holiday** so we can discuss options and make a plan.

☀️🐾 **Hot Weather = Heat Stroke Risk** 🐾☀️

As temperatures rise, heat stroke can become a life-threatening emergency for our pets in just a matter of minutes.

🚨 **Know the signs of heat stroke:**
• Excessive panting
• Bright red gums
• Drooling
• Weakness or lethargy
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Stumbling or collapse
• Seizures

🐶 Remember:
• Never leave pets in a parked vehicle—even with windows cracked
• Walk dogs during the cooler morning or evening hours
• Always provide access to fresh water and shade
• Be cautious with brachycephalic breeds (Bulldogs, Pugs, French Bulldogs, etc.), seniors, and overweight pets, as they are at higher risk

❗ If you suspect heat stroke, move your pet to a cool area immediately and contact your veterinarian right away. Heat stroke is a medical emergency and can quickly become fatal if left untreated.

Today we honor and remember. ❤️

This Memorial Day, we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country and the sacrifices made by so many military families.

We also recognize the loyal service animals and working dogs who have stood beside our troops with courage and devotion through the years. 🐾

Today we’re celebrating someone who brings so much compassion, dedication, and heart to our team every single day. From caring for our patients like they’re her own to supporting clients and coworkers through both joyful and difficult moments, she is truly an irreplaceable part of our clinic family.
