The sooner the better if you have them too young now, add them now so you won’t have to wait when they’re of age. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason. Please be patient & kind we really are here to help and can only do so much. Thank you to those that support our efforts, you’re more appreciated than you think! 🫶🏻

One week out from the last clinic. Again, we received 3 post surgical calls. One received antibiotics, the other two were put on jail rest. All 3 were probably too active or licking.
One dog was contacted to follow up on a previous problem and the owners never responded to us.
Our post surgical complication rate is still almost none. Our vet is very conscientious and makes tiny incisions so recovery is fast and easy. Thank you once again Roswell for taking good care of your recovering pets! Lisa P

Good morning Roswell friends! Lisa here.
In an effort to add some more transparency Im adding some post clinic notes for all to read.
We spayed and neutered 267 dogs and cats last week. We had 3 post surgery phone calls. Our next step is to see pictures of concerns.
1 was a perfectly healed spay!
1 was sent to the bathroom for less activity and is now fine. 2 days in jail!
1 was sent antibiotics and is doing well now.
Post surgery complications was 0.011%
This is well below normal for any AHA clinic or vet school.
Hats off to all the owners for an excellent job caring for the pets!!!

***NOTICE***
Since posting I’ve gotten a lot of calls, texts & messages for requests to be added to the waitlist. Please note that I’m very busy scheduling from the current waitlist for this upcoming clinic. I’ll add you to the waitlist as soon as I get a chance, but it will be for a future clinic as the waitlist is already very long as I mentioned in my post. However, I am scanning each one for any requests for female dogs or male puppies since we have availability at this time. If you’re inquiring about your placement on the waitlist please be patient, I apologize I do not have the time to look through hundreds of names and reply to everyone while I’m in the process of scheduling, you’ll be contacted if I get to your name while we still have availability.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Jan. 5th 2026

I’ve started my scheduling process for our upcoming clinic January 13th - 20th. As of now we have plenty of space for female dogs and male puppies. If you have pet cats or stray/feral cats and have just recently gotten on the waitlist or will soon be on it, you’ll most likely be included in one of our next clinics. I’m working from an extremely long waitlist that’s backed up for a few months. Unfortunately that happens in a town like ours with an overwhelming overpopulation problem. Please understand that when the list gets this long we need to prioritize female cats, so the wait will be longer for males. Once I call and leave a voicemail (if I can) it’s up to you to be sure your voicemail is set up and not full. You can always look for my number in your missed call list also. Sometimes I only text. If it’s returned that it can’t be delivered, I will call instead. I only reach out once, call or text. It’s then up to you to get back to me, I’m dealing with a high volume number of people to contact, so I can’t keep trying. I’ll just keep going down the list until I fill the schedule. If you get back to me too late you’ll go back on the waitlist. Please keep in mind that we’re doing the best that we can, we’re a nonprofit volunteering our time, effort and resources to serve your community.
Please scroll through past posts for more information on our low cost prices and clinic policies.

Updated info.

Here are some guidelines to help better understand how CAWL spay/neuter clinic is run. As a nonprofit run mostly by volunteers we have to be proactive and lower our risks as much as possible. Our mission is to help control the dog/cat overpopulation by providing low cost spay/neuter to pet owners that really need it. Thank you for understanding our position.

Some things to make note of:
*Owned dogs and cats only. Stray/ferals (community cats) are allowed.
* Owner needs to be present to drop off their pet and sign consent form.
*No purebred or designer bred dogs, bought from a breeder. If you can afford to buy one, you can afford regular vet prices.
*No breeds with airway restrictions. They’re considered high risk and will need veterinarian hospital care.
* We cannot take purebred Dobermans due to the high risk of Von Willebrand a blood disorder.
*We can’t take dogs or cats under 2 pounds in weight or 7 years and over. they don’t do well under anesthesia and are considered high risk.
*Pet cats & stray/tame cats will need a p*e pad or towel in the bottom of a clean carrier, cats in dirty carriers will be refused service.
*Feral/Wild cats must be in a Trap. No carriers or other types of cages.
*Be sure to walk your dog to potty before dropping them off with us.
*All dogs will need to be picked up when I call that they’re ready. Usually sometime between 10am-12pm. We do not/cannot board dogs.
*We prioritize Females when the waitlist gets really long, males are last.
* Cones/E-Collars are not provided.
* Adult male dogs will no longer be accepted. Male puppies under 6 months of age as long as they still have puppy teeth are allowed.
*We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone.
*We cannot be responsible for your pet after surgery. You must be able to care for your pet properly. No Running,Jumping,Licking, licking or LICKING!

Female Dogs & male puppies under 6 months (up to 80lbs) $100, includes vaccines if needed.
Dogs over 80 lbs. $100 (includes over weight charges tbd), Includes vaccines if needed.
Pet cats $50 includes vaccines if needed.
Stray/feral cats $25 includes vaccines and big left ear tip.

CAWL clinic has come to the decision to no longer take adult male dogs. Neuter surgery is relatively easy to recover from, but it does take proper time and care at home that we have no control over. It’s become a problem that we no longer wish to deal with.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. We are still taking male puppies, they must still have their puppy teeth. Typically 4-6 months old but can vary by breed.

Good morning and happy Friday.

Unfortunately we will no longer be able to do adult male dogs. While our post surgical complications are very low, and almost all benign, 1%, the calls for adult males are costly and time consuming for us and others. Recovering an adult male dog takes some time and patience which is difficult for many people.

Please see your veterinarian for neuters for adult males. Thank you for understanding our position.
