We’re excited to launch our very first Family Volunteer Saturday on July 18! We’ll be welcoming two families to volunteer together at the shelter.

This new opportunity was created to offer a weekend volunteer option and give families with younger children a chance to get involved in a way that’s both fun and meaningful. While some of our weekday volunteer tasks can be challenging for younger helpers, this special Saturday session will feature family-friendly activities designed to make a positive impact for our animals.

We’ll have adorable adoptable dogs and cats ready to say hello and hopefully go home with you.

☀️ BE A SUMMER FOSTER HERO FOR MANDO ☀️

The summer heat is here, and our adult dogs who live in outdoor kennels need indoor foster homes ASAP. Mando is one of them.

🐶 Meet Mando – a German shepherd mix who is goofy and playful. He has done well in a foster home before (also Dogtopia!) and now he’s hoping for a cool, comfy place to land again.

Right now, Mando is in an outdoor kennel at our shelter. We’re doing everything we can with shade and water, but nothing beats an air‑conditioned home and a soft bed.

FCAR provides food, vet care, and support – you provide the safe, cool place and love.

✅ Indoor‑only foster home
✅ Short‑term or longer‑term welcome
✅ Great match for homes with other dog friendly dogs!
