Our Public Pals crew has been getting out and about, and we’re loving the progress! 🎉

We kicked things off at Best Pals, moved to West Park for lesson two, and took our third lesson downtown! Our pals practiced navigating crosswalks, building confidence in new environments, and working through real-world challenges. We even used the police department to practice entering and exiting buildings! 🚶‍♀️🐕

Why? Because obedience isn’t just about knowing a command in a familiar setting. It’s about building the reliability, communication, and confidence to use those skills in the real world!

And we’re not done yet… ☕🐾
Next up: our coffee date! Our pals will get to practice their manners while we enjoy a little caffeine and continue building those everyday skills.

Every outing is another opportunity to learn, grow, and become a more confident team.

We’re so proud of this crew and can’t wait to see what they accomplish next! 💜

🐾 Double the Pals, Double the Progress! 🐾

These two brothers came to Best Pals together to start building the skills they need for a successful future! ❤️

Both enrolled in our Foundation Skills Board & Train program and their family took advantage of our 60% OFF SIBLINGS DISCOUNT! 🎉

Starting with a solid foundation early on helps build better habits, clearer communication, and more confidence as these young pups grow. We’re excited to help both of them learn, develop, and set themselves up for success!

🐶 Two pups. One family. A whole lot of potential!

💳 Flexible payment options available! Best Pals accepts Afterpay, Klarna, and Affirm to help make investing in your dog’s training more accessible.

Blue is officially moving into the second phase of his service dog training! 💙

We’re taking everything he learned during his puppy foundation and starting to build on it — increasing reliability, adding more distractions and expectations, and introducing the beginnings of off-leash skills.

This is also where we begin our longest and one of the most important phases of his training. Service dog work isn’t about simply knowing commands. It’s about building the ability to make good choices, stay connected to his handler, and remain reliable as the environment around him changes.

At Blue’s age, his brain is still incredibly spongey, making this a crucial time to build the right habits and patterns.

And through all of it, our goal stays the same:
Make learning his favorite thing to do. 🐾💙

Keep learning, Blue. You’re doing good things! 🐶✨

Bugs came to Best Pals for our 2-Week Foundation Skills Program, but her program was customized to fit her and her owner’s goals.

At only 16 weeks old, expectations have to stay realistic. Puppies are still puppies! But that doesn’t mean they can’t learn a whole lot. Bugs was able to establish a foundation in stationary behaviors and show us just how much young dogs are capable of when training starts early and expectations are appropriate.

And that’s exactly why we don't believe in a one-size-fits-all approach.

Every dog comes in with a different starting point, different strengths, different challenges, and different goals. Our programs can be adjusted to meet those individual needs rather than forcing every dog into the exact same box.

Bugs left with a foundation to continue building on, and plenty of room to keep being a puppy along the way. 💜🐶

We had the chance to check out a new local grooming, boarding & pet boutique, Fuzzballs, LLC , this morning, and we were seriously impressed! 🐾💜

Not only do they offer grooming, but they’re carrying some really awesome products for dogs and their people. From practical finds to some seriously cute stuff, there’s a little bit of everything. 🐶🛍️

And a big shoutout to the groomer behind it all! It’s always exciting to see another local pet professional creating a space that puts dogs first and brings something new to our community.

We love seeing local businesses grow and support each other, so we wanted to give them a little love! ❤️

Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for a groomer or want some fun products for your pup!

Go give them some love and tell them Best Pals sent you! 🐾
