🐾 FOUNDATION SKILLS → OFF-LEASH RELIABILITY
Another Foundation Skills Board & Train completed, and this pup is ready to take the next step into our Off-Leash Program! 🎓🐕
This is a good opportunity to clear up a question we get from time to time:
Do you have to complete our Foundation Skills Program before doing Off-Leash?
Nope! It’s certainly one way to get there, and for some dogs, it’s the best path. But it isn’t a requirement.
Our Off-Leash Program includes the foundation work while progressing toward off-leash reliability. We aren't expecting a dog to skip the basics and suddenly be reliable without a leash. We build the skills, strengthen the communication, work through distractions, and gradually increase freedom as the dog is ready.
Because honestly, dog training doesn't need to be unnecessarily complicated.
Our goal is to give both the dog and the human the skills to succeed.
There are different ways to reach the same goal, and we're happy to meet each dog where they are and build from there.
Foundation first, off-leash next - or build both together. 🐕🦺
The important part is that we're building reliable skills, not just removing the leash.
