While humans deal with runny noses and constant sneezing, pets usually show spring allergies through itchy skin, red paws, and irritated ears. If your pet is constantly scratching, chewing their feet, or shaking their head, it may be a sign that the local pollen is getting the best of them🦠

We recommend booking an appointment if the itching starts to interfere with their sleep or if you notice any "hot spots" developing. Our team can help find the right relief, from individualized treatments to long-term management, to keep them comfortable all year long🐶

We’re excited to spotlight one of the incredible nonprofits we work with, 🐾- an organization dedicated to providing loving, temporary care for pets while their owners focus on medical recovery. Through a network of experienced volunteers, they support pets whose owners are undergoing treatment or hospitalization, helping remove barriers to care and easing the recovery process for both pets and their people.

They are hosting a $5 Fun Run/Walk on Monday, May 18th, with 100% of proceeds going directly to Sunny’s Helping Paws and their mission of supporting pets and the people who love them🐾

You can find more details about the event and community impact on Facebook and Instagram at .

If you would like to donate or volunteer to help support their mission, visit Sunny's Helping Paws Website https://bamboo-coconut-sapj.squarespace.com under the tab Get Involved💕

Black Fly Bite Awareness🪰
Warm weather brings out the black flies, which often leave red, circular "bull's eye" marks on a dog's belly or inner thighs. While these spots are usually harmless and clear up on their own, keep an eye on them as your pet plays outside.

What to Know:
Appearance: Look for flat, red blotches or circles after your pet has been in the grass.
Prevention: Keep pets indoors during the day when the heat and flies are at their peak.
When to Call: While these bites are typically not itchy, if they cause your pet discomfort or show signs of infection, please call us immediately.

Questions? We are here to help!

How do you see a face like this and NOT adopt Wren?!

Wren is this week's adoption spotlight!🐶

A little bit about Wren:
"When I am awake I like to stay busy. I am very happy to play with any toys, bones or balls. I can be content playing by myself or playing tackle and tug-of-war with my foster brother. I do a good job of not getting into things I am not supposed to. Depending on my mood I may follow you around the house just to check up on what you are doing. If you are on the couch I will be perfectly happy to snuggle right up next to you."

How cute is Zelda?!

Zelda is this week's adoption spotlight!🐶

A little bit about Zelda:
"Zelda is a shy dog who, with a bit of time and patience, reveals a sweet, silly, and fun personality. She is the type of dog who chooses "her person" and loves them with her entire heart. Loyal and loving, she enjoys snuggling and acting as her person’s shadow. While she has integrated well into a busy foster home, her dream environment is a quiet home without much chaos."

These molds, dust and pollen can cause frequent sneezing, watery eyes/nose, excessive scratching and coughing.
