🐾💙 Happy Veterinary Technician Week! 💙🐾

This week, we’re celebrating our amazing techs at Lake Street Animal Hospital and all the incredible things they do every single day for our patients, our team, and our community!

So much of what our techs do happens behind the scenes, but their impact is felt in every part of our hospital. From treatments, X-rays, lab work, and dentals to monitoring anesthesia, caring for hospitalized patients, comforting nervous pets, and supporting our doctors through it all, they are an essential part of everything we do.

They are the ones getting down on the floor to comfort a scared patient, staying by their side when they need extra care, helping our doctors make important decisions, and making sure every pet receives the attention and compassion they deserve. ❤️

Our DVMs could not do what they do without the knowledge, dedication, teamwork, and support of our incredible technicians. They are problem-solvers, patient advocates, teachers, and a steady source of support for our entire team.

We are so grateful for the hard work, heart, and compassion they bring to Lake Street every day. Veterinary medicine takes a team, and we are lucky to have such an amazing one!

Help us celebrate our wonderful techs this week! Drop a 💙 in the comments to show them some love and thank them for everything they do! 🐶🐱

Have you ever caught yourself thinking..."Maybe they're just slowing down"?
It's easy to chalk little changes up to getting older. But sometimes they're not signs of aging at all. Sometimes they're signs of arthritis. In fact, osteoarthritis affects 40% of pets — but most go undiagnosed. And the good news? Arthritis pain can often be managed with safe, effective treatments and isn't something your pet simply has to live with. So, if you do notice any potential signs – talk to us! We can help your pet feel like themselves.

🎉 Happy 4-Year Work Anniversary, Erin! 🎉

Four years ago, Erin joined the Lake Street family, and it has been amazing to watch her grow by leaps and bounds!

Erin has become an incredible technician and one of our amazing surgical technicians. She brings so much dedication, compassion, and hard work to everything she does, and we are so proud of the technician she has become.

And she isn’t stopping there! Erin is currently working toward becoming a CVT through the Penn Foster program. Balancing a full-time job while going to school takes a LOT of hard work, commitment, and dedication, and Erin is putting in the work to reach that goal!

We are so proud of you, Erin, and everything you have accomplished over the past four years. We can’t wait to see where your career takes you next! ❤️

Happy 4 years, Erin! We are so lucky to have you on our team! 🐾
