Please share this. Major doesn’t deserve to die.

MY FRIEND MAJOR WAS HIT BY A CAR. NOW HE FACES EUTHANASIA FOR BITING SOMEONE WHEN HE WAS IN IMMENSE PAIN.

Hi friends, it’s me, Fenix. 🐺❤️

I really, really need your help.

Major is a beautiful Belgian Malinois in Austin, Texas, with a dad who loves him very much.

Major was hit by a car. His dad ran to get his phone to call for help.

While he was gone, a kind woman stepped in to help.
But Major was badly hurt, frightened, and in immense pain.
When she tried to help him, he bit her.
She was seriously injured, and my heart goes out to her, too. 💔

But friends, Major was an injured dog reacting in terrible pain.
And now he faces EUTHANASIA.

After more than 500 days separated from his dad, confined in a shelter, his life is still hanging in the balance.

💔 CAN YOU IMAGINE?
Being hurt. Terrified. Not understanding what’s happening. Reacting out of fear. And potentially losing your life because of it.

Human safety matters. Of course it does.
But surely every possible safe and compassionate alternative deserves to be considered.

🐾 PLEASE HELP SAVE MAJOR.
Advocates are asking Austin officials to explore a legal agreement that could return Major to his dad under appropriate safety conditions, and review how these life-or-death decisions are made.

🙏 PLEASE EMAIL THE OFFICIALS LISTED BELOW.
Please be respectful. Speak from your heart. Ask them to consider safe alternatives to euthanasia.

❤️ AND PLEASE SHARE THIS POST.
Friends, I was once a little shelter puppy who needed someone to believe my life was worth saving.
Because people cared, I get to prance through life with the biggest smile on my face.

I want Major to have that chance, too. 🥹
Every life matters.
And right now, Major needs us.

All my love and prances,
Fenix 🐺❤️

Chandler💙 1yo: Rescue, Foster, or Adopt
Indianapolis Animal Care Services
From the shelter/volunteers:
"Chandler is showing us two very different dogs right now—and the shelter environment is bringing out the one we're most worried about. 💔

In his kennel, Chandler is struggling. He's been highly stressed, barking, bouncing off the walls and repeatedly chewing on the kennel wall. The longer he stays, the harder it seems to be for him to cope.

But get Chandler away from all that noise, and things change.

This sweet, timid boy came to IACS as a stray. He was frightened from the beginning, but even while trembling, he'd cautiously come forward to sniff people and offer little tail wags.

Recently, staff leashed Chandler away from the other dogs and took him for a long walk around the pond. He walked perfectly without pulling, remained calm and relaxed, and returned to his kennel without any issues.

He also tried our Canine Gym. Chandler started out shaking with nerves, but gradually relaxed, found his rhythm and worked his way up to nearly 2 mph. His handler said, "He did fantastic today!" ❤️

Those moments are important. They show us that Chandler can settle and gain confidence when he's given some distance from the things overwhelming him.
Chandler needs a patient home where he can decompress, build trust and discover what life feels like without constantly being on guard.

We don't want to wait until shelter stress takes even more of a toll on him. We'd love to get Chandler home while we're still seeing that sweet, curious dog underneath it all. ❤️"
