It is with profound sadness that we lost this sweet girl. Dottie has been a part of the ESP family since the yearly days. She was one or the chilliest dogs you could ever meet. She never greeted us at the door. We always had to go upstairs to her where she would by napping on mom & dads bed. She was never thrilled to go for a walk. Countless times we would have to bribe her just to get up even when she was young! She would walk a few houses, do her business, and turn home to go back to bed. Her brothers Bentley and Clyde were always crazy while she always played it cool. She was always sweet though and loved her treats and pets. We are going to miss her terribly but we are grateful that she is now pain free and reunited with her brother, Bentley. Rest easy sweet Dottie

🚨 URGENT NEED FOR DOG FOSTERS 🚨

During the last snowstorm, heavy snow accumulation on the roof of a neighboring business fell and crushed the roof of our rear kennels, causing significant damage and displacing over 30 dogs. With the shelter already full, the sudden loss of this critical kennel space is devastating. 😫

We urgently need foster homes for dogs 40 lbs and over. These placements are temporary and lifesaving. 2-4 weeks is all we ask, while also providing supplies. AHS has dogs to fit many households — dog-friendly, kid-friendly, and more.

👉 Apply to foster now:

We are relying on our community to step up and help save lives. 🐾

‼️ Rescues- if you have space or fosters willing to help PLEASE reach out to Rescue Coordinator Sherri Laraway at [email protected] 🙏

This guy became a client at just the perfect time for me personally. Six years ago, I suddenly had to say goodbye to my GSD at just 9 years old. I was beyond devastated. Maybe two months later I get a call from someone looking for a dog walker for his GSD (If not the exact same age as my guy, he would only be off by maybe a year or two tops). What followed was a very special connection and bond. Diesel was not my dog but he honestly felt like it at times. He loved people but hated other dogs, bicycles, rollerbladers, motorcycles, deer, etc. Somehow Diesel was able to hike up a ridiculous set of stairs well into his senior years. A feat seldom seen for large breed dogs. He was a special boy and I’m going to miss him for sure. Thank you and for giving me the gift of his friendship. Fetch in peace D man. Say hello to Lars for me (although I know you will bark like crazy at him)
