My Dearest Human,
I know youāve been missing me. I see you looking at my bed, my toys, my old leash and that tiny pawprint on your heart that still aches. I wish I could nuzzle your face again, lick away your tears, and tell you Iām still right here.
Please donāt cry for me, my human. I didnāt go far, I just went to a place where the pain is gone, and where I can run again, fast and free, without getting tired. Itās warm here, with endless green fields and soft winds that carry your scent to me. Every time you think of me, I feel it like sunshine touching my fur.
I remember everything: The day you found me on streets. The way your eyes softened when you looked at me for the first time. The nights you stayed awake just to make sure I was okay. The times you laughed at my silly zoomies, and how I always knew that no matter how the world treated us, you were my world.
I wasnāt just your dog. I was your shadow, your secret keeper, your best friend. You gave me the best life I could have ever dreamed of; full of love, comfort, and belonging. Thank you for every meal, every pat on my head, every āgood boy.ā Those words were magic to me.
When my time came, I saw the sadness in your eyes, and I wanted to stay. But something gentle called me, a light that whispered, āCome rest now.ā I didnāt want to leave you, but I carried your love with me across the rainbow bridge. Itās my forever collar now, it keeps me safe and close to you.
Please donāt think of the day I left; think of the thousands of days we had together. Iām still with you in your laughter, your dreams, and in every wagging tail youāll ever meet. When you help another stray, when you open your heart again, know that itās me smiling through them.
One day, when itās your turn to cross that bridge, look for me. Iāll be the first one to run to you: tail wagging, eyes shining, heart bursting, just like old times. Until then, live your life the way you made me live mine: with love, joy, and kindness.
I love you, always and forever. You were, and will always be, my person.
