This handsome man is Iroh! He was an amazing boy for his first time here and we can't wait to have him back! Taking out all that extra fur that Springtime brings and a little trim can go a long way.

While I have your attention: Feywild Grooming will be at Barks & Recreation, put on by Saving Grace Humane Society, at Stewart Park tomorrow! There will be bandanas and goodie bags* at the booth, as well as some awesome take-away information. We look forward to seeing you!

That's a wrap for the NW Groom Expo! I am so happy I was able to go and take some amazing classes. I know that I will be making a few changes in systems in the Feywild. I also have some new products to try that will (hopefully) make my job much easier.

What an awesome day! The morning started with a seminar on coat damage and we moved right into a class on streamlining systems to help things move more smoothly in a salon.

Afterward, I sat in on the Poodle competition and got to watch some *amazing* groomers work. It's one thing to have a lecture that tells you a technique, but seeing it in actual practice is invaluable.

Mia was very ready for a nap by the end. Just one more day!

Class #2 of the day is a class just for my cat handling education. This is a class that was put together by The International Cat Association® (TICA®) and International Pet Groomers (IPG). Getting the certifications through them is just a bonus to the amazing information packed into this class.

First day of NW Groom Expo! Our (mine and Mia's 😆) first class was a 4 hour long seminar.

I love having opportunities for learning and improvement and if this class is anything to go by, this weekend is shaping up to be wonderfully informative. The grooming industry is always evolving and new information/products are always coming out.

**Schedule Update**

Good morning!

I wanted to take a moment to let everyone know that from Thursday (4/16) to Sunday (4/19) the salon will be closed. I will be away at an educational expo to further my knowledge, learn new skills, and re-up on my pet CPR and First Aid certification!

We are still open up until Thursday, so if you are needing in this week, let's get you schduled! Our online booking is always open if you need to schedule during the time we are away.

Moose is an indoor/outdoor kitty who needed his coat to be more manageable for his people. His long coat was dragging in burrs and other foliage which get tangled into his fur. Overall, he was a good kitty that let me talk him through the process.
