He stands at about 14 hh, but is very stout and built like you’d want one.

No he’s not a kids horse, no he’s not for beginners. He’s gentle, but green broke.

‘Radar’ is one heck of a young horse. With looks, style, and personality to boot, he’s one that will get you noticed wherever you go.
He is GENTLE!
Leave him off for a month, catch him anywhere, saddle him up, and trot off to do a job.
He rides out quiet and alone, or anywhere in a group.
Because of his age, he’d be best suited for someone who has experience with young horses. That being said, he’s going to be one gentle enough for the whole family with a little more time.
He has been used heavily in the Colorado mountains as the lead horse, pack horse, and tail horse for Rainbow Trout Outfitters. Lead a string off of him, pack a heavy wall tent on him, or just enjoy a leisurely ride up the trail.
He was up in a Second Season Rifle camp for Conejos Canyon Outfitters in 2021. He hobbles overnight, and stands tied to a tree for hours upon hours without complaint. It came in and snowed one night, and was 6 degrees the next morning. I cinched him up and rode out of camp without any funny business.
He keeps his head, and never falls apart, even when I’ve had him in some sticky situations with wrecks involving pack horses or sketchy places on the trail.
He has been lightly started on the hotheels.
He’s got a bright future ahead of him, with a solid foundation, and needs someone to take him to the next step.

ABOUT THIS HORSE:
Cogburn has been used in the outfitting dude string. He packs as well as rides, and crosses water, logs, etc with no complaints.
I have seen no signs of buck in this horse. He seems to stay gentle with time off.
I put dudes on him and in the line he does very well. If I ride him out front or by himself he may need a little more conviction, but if I am firm with him, he’ll do anything I ask once he knows I am serious.
I enjoy riding him. He has a good pace and will really step out and cover the country.
